I noticed that too. And now I am no longer sure what I want to do about this dress.

And there are of course different types of crepe de chine, different thickness. I am using crepe de chine for my Bespin Leia tunic and it is not shine through.
I think when you use a thicker version, and it is of course a double layer, than it should be more than fine.

I noticed the book said that only one of the two dresses where made of crepe de chine, but I don't think it said if it was the first or second of them. (I didn't read that part closely).
But the ANH and TESB dresses weren't off the same fabric.

I think it was the first one that was crepe de chine, and the second was something heavier.

The second one, in Empire, is a heavier knit.

I picked up a few swatches of the crepe and plan on trying it out just to see.

Great. Let us know how it goes, Blue. Smile My sister has talked about us doing that costume for her as her next after we're done with Aayla, so I'm interested in your results.

I'm thinking of re-doing my dress after Dragon*Con because it bugs me that this one is too short (considering making the dress part a little wider, too, I'm not quite sure where hers start to curve at the sleeves), and then I'm going to do something special with the old one >Smile

Has anyone tried it in crepe de chine yet? I'm also toying with getting samples of silk knit and seeing how it compares to the jet set.

The problem I have been seeing with the crepe de chine is finding one that is fluid enough. They all appear very stiff.

I can't think of a better way to commemorate my 14th Anniversary with the Rebel Legion than by finally getting some proper pictures of my ANH Leia!

I have to go through the whole set, but I'm thrilled with how they came out!

I'm going to replace the pictures in my profile, but if I want to change the picture in the frame, do I need to resubmit the costume, or just send a PM to a royalty costume judge?

What a great photo!

Generally, you would need to PM someone on the Photoshop team or one of the judges with Photoshop ability, as not all of us can do it.

That said, I've fixed it for you. Leia Buns
