So... I went with the animated hasboro option and am having a whole heap of fun with it as:
A. Someone gave me one for free
B. I get to practice some modding skillz, and if I mess it up. No real harm done.

Here is the progress so far.

Next, more primer, then silver coats, then white coats. Then I might do a visor. I'm not sold on that yet.

NO SILVER!!! NO NO NO NO NO NO!!! Cool

You should not ever have any silver coming through!! Clone armor is plastoid and not metallic in composition. Do black instead.

Ooh. Good tip.

I've seen some tutorials about doing the metal under, but I can black it up.

As it's mostly finished, I can to some post work on it.

Thanks for the tip.


Here is where I am so far.



I might weather down to the base layer and then paint that a matte black or something?
