Hello!
I'm working on perfecting my Senatorial Leia before submitting it for approval with the Legion. I'd be very grateful for any expert critique you folks might have. The pics are from a recent convention - I'll find someone to take more sedate and professional pics before submitting.

I'm currently redoing the boot covers and adding the strip details seen in the film version.
The dress is white polyester interlock, lined with same and slit on both sides to knee. No sleeve or shoulder seams. I have an elastic band hidden at the waist to keep the blousing in place. The hood is hand roll hemmed and open in back, slightly trapezoidal shape. The keyhole in back comes down to about armpit level.
The belt and boot covers are vinyl, with aluminum sheet plates on belt. There is an eighth plate that covers the snaps in back. The hair is my own, with a little panty hose stuffed in there for volume - it's a little frizzy due to it being later in the day.
The gun is not part of the submission - I just made it on the cheap for fun, it's not very accurate.
My biggest concern is that the bottom front edge of the belt may not be pointy enough. It sticks out beyond the plate, but not by much.
Many thanks for any advice! |

Your dress and your buns look fantastic. Well done.
I think the pointiness of the belt is less of a concern as much as generally, the plates don't extend all the ways to the edge of the belt. If you were to trim the plates all down a bit, I feel like the extra space exposed below the front plate in particular would let it feel more "pointy."
That tiny detail aside, the costume looks great. Though, the best photo is totally the one with a mini-Leia too. _________________

Looks great. I agree with Jenna, I would like to see the plates trimmed down a bit. |

Here is the first trim. It may need a little more off, but I'm being careful.
