You see Cracken and Lt. Blount in the cockpit behind Lando in ROTJ. In the deleted scenes, you see the Sullustan and two crewers doing maintenance and damage control, so basically they are flight engineers in Navy and Air Force terminology. It would be much easier to handle these roles, and manning the two gun turrets, with additional people in a battle situation. _________________ Todd (Toda) - former RAID XO (2017-2019)

Im collecting all the images of the Falcon crew so we can have them in one place. One of the tings I would like to do this term is see this represented more fully by the Detachment.
with Celebration coming, Colonel Cracken/ Endor MF Crew is very easy to pack and fly with.
The Racal Mililight headset is available from Spatcave store online I have a cast of it and its very clean.
Todd earlier you had mentioned Falcon Crew, and Demolitions/Gunner were also discussed.
Millennium Falcon Gunner/ Demolitions
Millennium Falcon Crew
Millennium Falcon Endor Assault Crew
Millennium Falcon Flight Engineer
i think this covers what we discussed in the past two years. We seriusly need to pin down a name for the six crew represented.
Here is the list of photos I have collected from this topic. Others will be posted as needed.

the Hoth badge seen on the Sullustan and human

Today I
Watched ROTJ on dvd (no blu ray) on my big screen. After years of watching my VHS tapes, this was a huge improvement, and i could see things on screen i had not seen before. _________________ Once I was Dewka, but now I'm just G'nott sH'urr

I finally have some free time to work on costuming, it has been a long time...
I have taken a look at the gunners again and think the standard you proposed is accurate. I personally still think that the shirt/pants combo should say no pockets on the pants, but that is my opinion. Look at the one photo from the Falcon passageway where Cracken is in the lead and compare to the other crew behind him..

I don't know if this thread is still being monitored, but I'm working on an Endor Gunner and aiming for it to be close to Cracken's look. What is supposed to be on his right shoulder? I can't make it out clearly. _________________

That badge looks like the one Madine and the other officers wear on their chest.

So looking back at the published standard, it looks like what got published was actually an earlier version of what was written
The silver strapping at the top is retained in the Standard, as well as black triangle, which we know is the parachute clip.
I know this is not a popular costume, and not many have been made, but Id like to see the Standard meet what we decided upon via our research. _________________ Once I was Dewka, but now I'm just G'nott sH'urr

We can change the details into the correct ones when we rewrite the Endor CS into the new format. The discussion should be posted in the appropriate forum.
http://www.forum.rebellegion.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=1018
We also have work with GSC on this because the versions of the gunner and the two versions of General Cracken are the same so the CS should also be. Perhaps we can hold the discussion about the costumes here in the RAID forum and then I will post a General Cracken and Lieutenant Blount, which is the name of the younger gunner, in the GSC section.
I am not sure if I read it here in the post but the work jacket with the pointed collar ends is not a button-up, it has a zipper. You can see that when you look very closely. I watched the scenes a couple of times on Disney Plus but it will not let me take screencaps so I will have to rely on the two HD Youtube clips I found for references.

Sam, you are correct the shoulder greeblie is a rank badge like the one General Madine wears on the left side of his tunic/jacket. _________________ RAID GRRRL-Squad-Leader 2019 - present

I rewatched the Disney Plus version of "The Lost Rebels" clip again. The thing that I thought was the metal pull tap of a zipper seems to be a metal clip that is used to clip the cable of the headset on to clothing.
I think that the pointed collar version is a one-piece item. It seems to be a khaki work coverall with either covered buttons or a covered zipper. This coverall is a little bit darker than the regular rebel flight suit the others wear. I think it is a work coverall and not a shirt and pants combo because these guys run around the falcon-like like their pants are on fire and the belt moves but you can never see belt loops or the waistband of the pants.
A note on the side about the colors. It does not matter that the flight suits might have been grey in real life like the actor that played the Lt said. It is important how it looks on screen. If it looks tan or khaki on the screen we should use that color. _________________ RAID GRRRL-Squad-Leader 2019 - present

I rewatched the deleted gunner scenes in slow motion. You can see four gunners in total. Three humans, played by Trevor Butterfield (Lt. Lieutenant Blount), Michael Stevens (Gen. Cracken), and Richard Bonehill, and one Sullustan, who is also played by Richard Bonehill. Butterfield and Bonehill always wear the rebel flight suit with a mandarin collar, which we know since ANH. You can even see the Hoth patch on Butterfield's flight suit in the scene with the open floor panel.
Stevens wears the rebel flight suit in the Falcon cockpit scenes and the gun turret scenes. He is the only person that wears the flight suit with the pointed collar and he only wears them in the different hall running scenes. Since his character is known as General Cracken that version would be a GSC CS. The version with the mandarin collar would be a shared CS between RAID and GSC because of the unnamed human and Sullustan character played by Bonehill and Butterfield's character which is called Lieutenant Blount in some Lucas Film books.

before photobucket ate my images i had a pic of the sullastan leaning into the panel on the floor , and i put an arrow on the Hoth badge.
Im not seen a CS for General Cracken, was it ever finalized by the Officer det?
also i would be perfectly happy to put my Hoth badge back on the right sleeve, especially since we can confirm that its acdtually there just hidden by the right sleeve cap. That would be a detail to be added as an optional item. _________________ Once I was Dewka, but now I'm just G'nott sH'urr
