maybe Im grasping at straws here because more than likely I dont want to go wash the dishes---but----
i see the same light colored artifact under the vest sleeve cap on Cracken in pointed collar, running through the hallway.

Good eye, David. Whenever I get around to compiling an image database for the detachment, these screen caps will be added to it
Maybe have the Hoth rank badge be an optional item for both variants of the costume: flightsuit and the shirt/pants combo. |

since we have it confirmed for the one uniform, i see no reason not to add it to the standards...IF a person wants to do a feature that wont normally be seen. But its possible that it will.
I wouild suggest using magnets to mount it to the grey flight suit so its not permanent.
However, since we can not confirm that is is on the tan shirt with collar, I dont think it should be used there. _________________ Once I was Dewka, but now I'm just G'nott sH'urr

All of the screen caps that I have done do not show the the "Hoth badge" on all of the crewers. I also can say with high confidence, that the Hoth badge is not on the shirt/pants outfit. I would suggest that it remains optional, but that is my opinion only. _________________ Todd (Toda) - former RAID XO (2017-2019)

Since there will likely not be a whole lot of people making this costume, my suggestion would be to leave a lot of the smaller details as optional items.
Of course, as always....taking the costume to the ultimate level is always encouraged...
I have seen lots of members make sure they have all items in an optional list..
and others who choose to add only the minimum from the list. _________________

I just re-read the topic, and it seems we have come to several conclusions.
Looking at one of the scenes of the actors running in the hallway, the guy behind Cracken clearly looks to be wearing a much lighter color uniforms--likely grey coveralls. I cant make out pockets on the photo, but I would bet that they are there. Cracken's pants in that scene do not have pockets and appear darker than the collared shirt with what looks like stitched rectangles on the sleeves.
The Gaiters are present and have the clips, and both rank badges on the vest are visible.
With the collared shirt he is wearing the Endor headgear and commando vest, along with gloves and pistol belt.
Others have what has been identified as grey coveralls, gaiters, gloves, pistol belt, vest and headgear and at least one with coveralls has been shown to have the Hoth rank badge on the right arm under the vest cap.
Im all but ready to sew my vest i just need to cut the fabric out and ive got my ANH15 on the way. _________________ Once I was Dewka, but now I'm just G'nott sH'urr

Soooo,,,,,
It has been a full six months since we last discussed this. I have a lot of these parts either complete or in progress.
We have LOT of discussion on the table. Can we get a ruling, or a new draft crl with the options discussed to look at? _________________ Once I was Dewka, but now I'm just G'nott sH'urr

The only change in first post was the parachute clip was added to the gaiters...
I can assure you that since both Jason and I are costume judges, we will wholeheartedly accept gaiters with the clip...
to be honest, I don't think that there will be much else added or changed or variations added because not a whole lot of people are going to end up making this costume. _________________

Ok. Looks like I am to be the test bed for a new line of coveralls to be custom made, thats going to be happening this summer sometime.
With the rest of the gear in hand all I would need to do is make new gaiters, unless my Endor gaiters would work by adding a clip. _________________ Once I was Dewka, but now I'm just G'nott sH'urr

No...the Endor gaiters would not work....they have eyelets and are shorter than the Gunner gaiters...
by the best guess...the Gunner gaiters were "borrowed" from the Y-Wing Pilots.... _________________

Phyllis is correct. They'd need to be the same type of gaiter as the Y-Wing pilots. No eyelets. |

Sorry, my brain completely fizzed out on that one. I had already made gaiters, ill just add the black clip. _________________ Once I was Dewka, but now I'm just G'nott sH'urr
