Does anyone know where I can get a reasonably priced Mara Jade Emperor's Hand lightsaber? Ideally one with sound and a removable blade. The only ones I can seem to find are the Replica ones (no electronics) selling for $800 on ebay. I'm looking for one more within my budget ($400 or less.)

Parks Sabers has a version for $300, though I don't believe it has sound. (http://www.parksabers.com/jaded-deuce.html) I have no personal experience with this company, though I'm sure others could offer some.

Qui-Gon Jinn on the FX boards built one for a RL member (http://www.fx-sabers.com/forum/index.php?topic=28308.0) from mostly standard MHS (modular hilt system) parts from TCSS (the custom saber shop). The main customization he did was for all of the screws in the hilt. If you have the inclination to do so, it would be possible to make one yourself with removable blade and sound. You could also contact him about a possible commission.

Send a message to them and they will quote you a price. I have heard they do excellent work.

I will be getting an Imperial Knight saber from them soon. Very Happy

Actually, the main customization for that saber was the main hilt body, not the screws. I had to have TCSS machine the grip grooves, and other than that it was a pretty straight forward build. There was a way to build it with the rear grip section that was already drilled and tapped for those screws, but it would have had a part line o9n the hilt that wasn't there on the original, and in my opinion would have detracted from the overall look. The saber was by no means intended to be an exact replica, but rather an "inspired by" interpretation.

I'm not currently building sabers right now, but may take on a few this fall. It could certainly be done in that price range, though, if the right combination of electronics was used.

Actually, I do: http://www.saberknights.com/jgj/welcome_to_jgjsabers.htm

I am still, unfortunately, unable to take on any commissions, due to overtime at work.
