Greetings,

I'm on the hunt for something yet again, and this time I'm looking for boots for my Jedi outfit. I've searched online and at every local boot and cowboy boot retailer I could find, even hit various thrift stores hoping to strike it lucky, but I have yet to find anything. The only remotely acceptable boots I've been able to find so far are equestrian boots online, which tend to run around $400-500+ and are rather out of my price range.

I'm looking for some boots in a red-brown color that are a similar color match to my belt (seen here), size 13, men's, of course. I don't particularly care what style they are, just something that's acceptable in the Rebel Legion.

Has anyone seen any boots like this and might know where I can find them?

If you haven't heard by now, JDOS boots are great. He makes custom fit boots, but it takes awhile to get as he is VERY busy with orders and it might take 5-6 months after you order them. They also run about $300-$350. Worth it though. I will be ordering some in the future.

As for now, I am ordering some from "Gentleman's Emporium.com."
They have nice boots there, that are RL approved and they are less than $200, but still look good and are very nice. They also have no zipper, which alot of people like.

Hope that helps. *Jedi boots are one of the hardest pieces of the costume to acquire.

I got mine on ebay from username 'ehimalayas'. Just do a search for 'hispar fashion boots' and there are a couple choices there for about $200. I am happy with mine, which are the ones with the straps and don't have a zipper. Hope that helps.

I just looked through the Gentleman's Emporium (thanks for the link) and didn't see too much in the line of boots. $200 is probably about my limit for boots (I might be able to swing a little more-- maybe), but it looks like all of their boots that are under $200 are all black. Don't really want black boots, especially seeing as my belt isn't black.

But I'll do an Ebay search for the fashion boots, too. I did search Ebay a couple days ago and didn't find much of anything, but I'll search for those, too.

I think someone mentioned using "preacher boots". You can get them in brown.

Here's another site you can try.

http://www.wwmerc.com/cgi-bin/category.cgi?category=20160&orderby=INVENTORY%2Ehot%20desc%2C%20INVENTORY%2Ebrand%2C%20INVENTORY%2Emodel&template=&templatehead=&templatebody=&templatefoot=&templatethumb=&&start=6

Or just google "preacher boots" or "pale rider boots" and see what all you find. Some of the really pointed toe ones probably look a little too "cowboy". But some of the more square toed ones might work.

Hey Guys I will just add my Two cents worth. I had a horribly hard time finding boots that would fit me since i am a Guy with Large Calves. After months of looking I had resigned my self to getting a set of custom boots in the $400 range, but then i found these guys.

http://stores.ebay.com/eHimalayas/New-Models-2013-/_i.html?_fsub=2534563017&_sid=117240957&_trksid=p4634.c0.m322

you can get all kinds of sizes too! I personally bought the ones pictured below for about $200.

Are you sure preacher boots from there are approveable?

Double check with the LCJs, but I'm pretty sure I've seen another person use preacher boots.

Thanks for the information, everyone. Smile

Naropth, I saw those boots as well, and am somewhat leaning toward them (or another style I found with a zipper up the front that could be covered by some material).
You purchased those boots, correct? Are they the same color as in the picture? On the Ebay pictures they're that lighter red-brown color, but I also looked on the company's website and their pictures of the boots show them in dark brown, so I'm not sure what to think. Heh.
