ANH Leia boot length

Hello, everybody! I'm rather new here so I have a question about the length of Leia's boots in ANH.

I've seen a lot of Leias with knee-length boots, although in my reference pictures her boots are below the knee:





So my question is this--are my boots the right length? My dress at the moment does not have the slits up the side, so I'm trying to determine how big of a slit to put in based on the length of the boots.

(taking a picture of your own feet from this angle is difficult)

I think they come up high enough, but I wanted to check with the experts.
