I'm starting work on my generic Jedi. So far I have got a lightsaber, boots, belt buckle and accessories.

I have also the supplies to make the belt and the material for the tunics and obi, haven't decided on material for tabards. I do have a few questions: Is the buckle acceptable? I will dye the belt to a similar shade as the boots, should I also dye the pouches a darker shade?

One more question for now, I got this shirt for free from an order made. If I make a few mods to it like remove buttons and tailor it to my size would it be acceptable for an inner tunic?

The buckle shouldn't be I problem I think. And in my eyes the shirt is not turtleneck, so if you can get it to fit you, its a really cool shirt and would make I nice undertunic IMO.

Well, you won't -have- to dye the pouches as well, though it might look better.

Word of warning though, always test your dye on a small patch first, because
those pouches, while 'bland', have already had some kind of treatment, which
means it will not react the same as the belt.

As for the tunic, you might not even need to remove the buttons
-if- they are covered by the outer tunic, so you might want to keep the neck
a bit tighter on that one.

Other than that, I'd see you've got good start, and I hope to see the finished
project soon Smile

Did you make the pouches and food pellets yourself?

Everything is looking good!

I agree the inner tunic might need an adjustment to make it look like a turtle neck collar.
The pouches willl pass is up to u if u want to make them darker.

To me, the tunic sort of has a "Mandarin" style collar? Similar, without actually being a Mandarin collar.

Regardless, I think it will work.

If you don't retailor the shirt to be buttonless, I would suggest you change the buttons to something that more closely matches the fabric color. That way, they won't be an eyesore.

I'm glad it will work, I like the shirt, The shirt is from a renaissance merchant and in that style the clothing is cut big. So I plan on replacing the buttons with snaps, taking in the collar, sleeves and body so it fits tighter. Plus it's 100% cotton, it will dye easily.

I completed tailoring the shirt for an inner tunic, and dyed the pouches a little darker.

I got my belt finished, and received a comlink kit & aqua breather. Only have outer tunic, obi and tabards left to make and finish the comlink.
