Thanks Tim for sharing this.

Below are the steps to follow to get your event successfully created:

If you are approached with interest in an event or become aware of a potential event, please direct the organization contact person to email Rebel Legion Command by visiting http://www.rebellegion.com and have them submit a request for an appearance.
You may also follow the steps listed below 1-5. Then any or all of the following steps will be handled by Base Command Staff members in conjunction or independently from the referring member.

1) Contact the Events Coordinator at townscouter18@yahoo.com with all of the following information (date, time, location, contact name, contact phone number, email address) on an event you'd like to have created. Failure to supply pertinent contact information may delay initial contact.

2) Wait for word back with approval. If your event is denied please understand it is not a personal attack on you or the organizers of this event. There are many factors put into the approval of an event. Factors that will be evaluated for Echo Base attendance will include :
Date of the requested Appearance
Advanced notice of the request
Secured changing area availability
Parking / Admission Fees imposed for ourmembers
Water ( hydration) / Safety / Health concerns
Function or Purpose of the Venue

3a) IF THE EVENT IS DENIED AS AN OFFICIAL EVENT, this may or may not stop you from making an appearance at the event. However, should you choose to attend, the following must be taken into consideration. The denial of the event as an Echo Base event means that Echo Base and the Rebel Legion have no part in the event. As such, if you choose to make the appearance you are acting on your own as an independant party and can claim no affiliation with the Rebel Legion and/or Echo Base. Do not use the Base and/or Legion name on any promotional material. Also, the event cannot be detrimental or conflict with the best interests of Echo Base or the Rebel Legion as a whole.

3b) IF THE EVENT IS APPROVED, All initial contact between Echo Base and the organizer should be handled by the events coordinator and/or base command staff . UNLESS you are specifically designated by Base command staff as the contact person or lead liason for the event. IF AND ONLY IF you are so designated as the coordinator/contact person for the event, you may THEN contact the organizer of the event and explain to him/her who we are and then see if they wish to have an appearance by Echo Base.

4) Once the details have been worked out for the event, the Events Coordinator or another member of the command staff will post the details up to the general membership of the base on the base forum. The event wil then be posted onto the Event Forum and this forum with a poll for attendance voting.

5) The Base Events forum is for OFFICIAL event postings ONLY. All event threads will be created by the Base CO, XO, or Events Coordinator. All other event-related posting, including event suggestions, should be posted in the Members Only Discussion forum. Thank you for taking the time to read these guidelines.
