Thanks everyone for the tips and advice. They have greatly paid off. I am now a formal Obi Wan Episode III / Canon

Thanks again to Master Rog, Master Shay Kenobi, and Master Anakin for your help.

Still lovin' my Jedi Boxes. The new Jedi feels great... and I'm glad Obi Wan is finally complete.

now for an armor build... Havoc Squad? Cool

Been wanting to build this version for quite a while and looks like someone already beat me to it.

All I would need to do to give me a variation on my Obi Wan EP III. Will be to build the gauntlets and electronic led communicator. Also will have to update a belt for more an accurate Clone Wars animated belt. That's already in progress.

CGG is building the belt for me in the animated version with battle weathering. Here is one he has just built for a customer in Australia.

www.civilizedgalacticgear.com

Really nice and look seamless like the animated version.. just will have to add the bowtie looking clip up front after he is done with the leather work and pouches.

Hey, that's my belt !!! Very Happy

I spent countless emails and a million reference photos to get that belt right - DAMN ! Laughing Laughing Laughing

Hi Chad. Good luck with the build. I will be starting a WIP soon but my General Kenobi will be from the Cone Wars movie version.

Happy trooping Wink

I made two real leather pouches very similar to that design and they were to be used for this costume. The guy who commissioned them from me never got back with me to get them.

Here they are:

So...they're laying in my pile of pouches just waiting for a home.

My friend that does Boba Fett built and brought the arm guards to the Hockey Game troop we had. I put them on just for a trial run last night to see how my movement was going to be in them.

Had quite a few kids yell out There's Obi Wan!! Which is what I overall wanted... something that identifies me even more as Obi Wan.

What do you guys think? I didn't have time to make the handplates velcro to my gloves. Was busy practicing for the duel than to worry about that. But I'm happy with them.

a pair of what> Handplates? I have them.. just need to stitch the velcro on my gloves rather than just leaving them double sided stick tape.. worked okay for that one event though

Hi Chad.

No, I said "spare" not "pair".

The last question you asked was ;

*" Does anyone have a shape template for the communicator? And Size ? " *

I have a spare communicator. If you send me your details I will send it to you.

Well unfortunately had to resort to making me a Jedi Communictor again. The one that Shay sent me was stolen in the mail. Confused Was looking forward to getting it and finishing it for my CW Obi Wan.

Anyways.. here are a few pics of the first complete run through I did as a test run with the CW Obi Wan. Just sent it in to the judges.

Everything on the armor is weathered to show battle damage etc.
