Will there be a place for troopers to change? Yes - We will have a 20' x 30' changing area in the center of our area

Will there be a secure place for troopers to store their storage tubs while trooping the event? Yes, reasonably secure, but not locked.

Will family/friends be allowed to attend the event? Yes

Are cameras allowed and can we take pictures at the event? Yes

Are weapons allowed on the costumes? Yes

Additional information or comments: This is Planet Comicon's first year at Bartle Hall. And we are looking for a great year.

We will have a 50' x 50' area with our dressing area in the center. it will be 20' x 30'.

We are looking to have a great interactive area for Star Wars fans and PCC patrons this year. All 5 LFL sanctioned groups will be housed within this area.

I have designated the following people to be the central contacts for each of the 5 groups:

501st Legion: Bruce Cottingham
Rebel Legion: Bart German
Mandalorian Mercs: Tommy Sutton
The Dark Empire: Mike Stanton
R2 Builders: Brandon Paith

I am going to cover as much info in this first post as I can. I apologize I have taken so long to do this, but I wanted to make sure we had most of our ducks in a row before I posted.

Ticket Cost: $25 for the LFL Groups for both days. Only weekend passes are available at a discount. I am responsible for collecting the money and providing your passes. This is an increase, but reflects teh cost associated with the new event venue.

Events:

Annual March In: Chris Jackson will be providing us with music from bag pipe players as we march in this year. The March will begin at 9:45 AM from outside Bartle. Just before the doors open to the general public. Advance ticket holders will already be inside.

We will have access to dressing area from around 7:00 AM onward. As we get dressed we should report to the outside of Bartle Hall on 13th Street at the entrance marked 2200. We will help entertain those in line and get assembled for the march. All groups are allowed to participate this year.


Backdrops: We will have two 12' x 10' backdrops in our area. We want to make sure we have characters positioned by these backdrops during the hours of operation.

Droid Hunt: I need a volunteer to help facilitate this from the 501st. The other groups may also play. We expect Jedi and Sith being out there helping and hindering our armored troopers and bounty hunters from getting their quarry with 'Mind Tricks'. All groups may participate in this, but they must be a helmeted character, however; they may be assisted by non-armored characters.

We will have a drawing at 4:00 PM for those patrons as well as the trooper award for collecting the most badges.

Jail and Bail: I need a volunteers to help run the jail and bail this year as well. All proceeds go to support Baby Leah. I really want us to get this off the ground this year and make this a big annual event. All groups may participate. I will need volunteers to take warrants, get time for prisoners, and those to hunt.

Those groups needing power please let me know. I am working to get power arranged for the R2 Builders and Rebel Legion for their displays. It does cost extra and is a charge issued by Bartle Hall, not Planet Comicon. Also, we will have the Go Action Podcast in our area. Doing live podcasts and they will need a power source. The new venue is very strict on power.

We will have a "Meet and Greet" Panel this year. I am still working on the details on the time. It will be in the main Conference Hall.

Charity: We encourage all proceeds from our charitable works at the con to go to support Baby Leah, and her parents Zev and Francesca Esquenazi. They are one of our own.

I'd love to. I've gone several times and always had fun. I can't this year though because my daughter has a JROTC competition that weekend.
