Well, for those who say that they can't sew... you can. I did this for $50 worth of heavy Twill fabric from Jo Ann Fabrics, SithariRog's tutorial, a few hours on a Saturday afternoon (and a couple of beer of course).

I got my tunic set from AlienArmsDealer today and here are some of my initial suit up pix. Still waiting on my saber in the mail...so using my son's Hasbro. Sorry. Official pix to follow later.

Nice work on the robe, it looks very nice. I used the same pattern and left out the tucks as well. It is a very comfortable robe and flows oh so nicely.

A word of advice, don't completely cover your face as it is relatively important for the Jedi to see where he is going. Smile

Good point. Just wanted to show hood was big enough to cover my face. Seems like a lot of conversation about robes and hoods that are too small...
But you're right. I couldn't see a thing.

Excellent! Well done! I'm glad you discovered you can sew. Much of the Jedi costume is just straight seams so it isn't that hard. Probably the hardest part of the robe is gathering and attaching the hood.

lol....

you wear the hood like this:

and...
yes...
there are a lot of robes submitted that have hoods that are really too small.....

You don't see the Jedi on screen with their hoods up much....but when they do have them up, the hood kind of "puddles" on the shoulder.

That robe looks....amazing! Congratulations!

And...there is a pattern for a hood that helps the hood stay open:

This pattern comes from Darth Carcinious on the 501st, and an expert on the Palpatine costume.

yeah-yeah, it's a palpy hood, but...it helps the hood face stay open...and no one will know it's a plapy hood unless you make a black robe with a waffle weave fabric Wink

The only drawback to this hood design is...it had a seam up the middle.
