SO I have decided that the next SW costume I would like to do is a Bail Organa....the EP III Senate Chamber outfit he wears. I have no idea what to lok for and where to start....the velvet cloak withe the arm holes is probably customed dyed....can't see the pants very well....the jacket could probably be a altered version of and Imperial Officer jacket....ANY help or suggestions would be appreciated.

Have no idea about the cloak armor either....can't even see the entire back for the shaping.

If you know of any other reference pics....I would love to see those as well.

The costume in the foreground of your 1st image seems to be different from the one in the BG. Same with the 2nd pic. Are they 2 different outfits?

The costume I want to do is pictured in each picture in different places...the dark tealwith the "X" cloak armor frame.

Here are few from the movie, as seen with Padme's gown:

Padme Senate pic 1
Padme Senate pic 2

If you look at Padawan's Guide, there are links to some through her page on Bail under Ep III.

From one of the padawan's guide pictures the pants looks to be the same color as the jacket.

Don't really know about the back armor. It's a V shape?

Hmm, that's a good question.

It clearly goes deeper than the 'v' part of the X does. It looks like the point of the V goes to about the bottom of the shoulder blades. If it's curved it can't be by much, I think. I can also see that the sea green cape/cloak thing does not in any places go above the edge of the metal frame. It's probably attached to the underside of the metal frame and pulled over the head.

So I think I have finally found someone to make all the soft parts and the cloak armor for me now. all I have to do is get help with getting the arm bracers made and the boots and belt done.

I found a photo of the backside of this costume on one of my harddisks which I saved from somewhere on the interwebs in 2005 - apparently the costume was at the Fashion Show and someone took a pic of the backside and posted it *somewhere*, so I saved it.
Since I'm not sure *where* I obtained that photo and if it's okay to post it here, please PM me with your email address in case you still need it so I can send it to you.

The shape of that metal thingie on the back according to said photo, by the way, is neither 'X' nor 'V' but more like 'U' Wink

...to mention that while I can't post the backside photo of the original costume, I can still post the costume which I made for my son (well... almost made it... still working on it... cloak needs lining; son needs new boots...).
This shows the proper rounded shape of the harness on the backside. Click to enlarge:

I, or rather we since he was required to help create his costume under my supervision Wink used styrofoam to create the 'metal' parts, then hardened those with several layers of epoxy resin, then painted them silver.
The cloak is made from silk velvet - a bit shorter than the original cloak since this is a KID who would TRIP over a floor-length cloak! - the jacket is made from fine Italian suiting wool with a very simple cotton lining (and a bit larger than required so the costume will fit him at least a year).

After his Darth Vader, his Baron Papanoida and his Jawa costumes, my son finds this one most comfortable since it's lightweight and very breathable Wink

What does the front of the harness look like under the robe around the chest?
