What I worry about is how well copic markers (which you used to create the design on the poncho, if I understood that correctly) will hold up to even just rain, let alone washing or dry cleaning.
I do know that they fade extremely quickly in the sun; and it would be sad to see this costume ruined after the first troop in the rain (or as soon as the first cleaning is required).

Don't worry about the copic marker getting wet. Before I decided to use it for the pattern I tested the different shades of blue on a separate piece of fabric and of course tested how it would react if put into water. I even put it into the washing machine, although I wouldn't treat the poncho in that way with the gemstones attached to it. Furthermore, this will be a costume that I won't wear when bad weather is predicted... then I'll have other alternatives.

If the pattern tends to bleach in the sun, I always have the opportunity to renew it.

I just worked a little bit on the wig in the last days and tried to find the correct shape for the headband-thingy...

The "buns" are glued in place and I just put the hair loosely over the coil for this picture...

The back...

Nothing fixed, just loosely put over the coil to get a feeling, if there will be "enough hair"... and of course, when finished you won't see my hair, as well...

Before "arranging" the hair, I want to finish the headband and the golden headgear to know where I have to put hair and where it will be okay to put less hair...

Looks like a good start. Can't wait to see it with the headpiece.

First test of the headpiece...

Some elements will be re-positioned, but overall I like the look of it!

Some headpiece progress...

Half painted golden, half still with white primer...

The dangling thingies with primer on it...

Completely painted... (sorry, a little blurry)

I didn't have much time in the last days to work on the costume, but as winter is coming back this weekend, I made some progress today.

After finishing the belt + "greeblies"...

... I took all my courage together and continued styling the wig using caulk to glue the hair in place. It got a really sticky business, but after a while it worked quite well..

There are still some loose strands to get in place and to add the headband (almost finished) and the golden headgear, but for now I wanted the caulk to dry overnight...

I added the "dangling thingies" to the headgear today...

And dared to put it onto the wig...

As the golden tone was different to the golden paint I used for the headgear, I painted all the gemstones...

"Only" the wig to finish and the headband fastened and I think I might be good to go... As it started snowing again I might have a "fitting background" for some pictures... Confused

Conclusion: I have to redo the headband...
