My belt was one of the biggest PITAs as well. We made an outer shell and sewed the lines into it, then slipped it over a normal larger web belt. It wasn't the best solution, but it held up to the weight and stresses on it.

Thanks for the ideas on future belts . . . hoping mine holds up, but if not, the web belt under a white cover should work Smile

Last piece of the costume: shoulder rank bars. Legion member Loosetoon designed these for me and a local garrison member printed them off as an iron-on patch. I have a couple left over (different designs), so if you're interested in one, let me know.

I plan to do so this afternoon- by the time I got home from work and finished adding it to the jacket, it was dark outside. Very Happy

No....I'm good....

Actually.....I was making iron ons for t-shirts for "tour of duty" for Renegade Squad and found that after washing...
the iron ons started to crack....
so...
lmk if your iron on works out...

Your friend who did yours probably made the iron ons out of better stuff than one can buy commercially...
I tried both Avery and Office Depot iron on transfer paper and found that both of them cracked....

Crying or Very sad

Application has been submitted!

I switched-out the dark green lens for the amber one. I'd prefer to find a lighter green lens, but the amber one will suffice for now.

No, no yellow snow Razz

Joined RAID.

. . . .and my trooper is now ready for the Atlanta Christmas parade on Saturday. Since I have most of the pieces for the backpack, figured I'd have a little holiday spirit with it.

The parade went very well! And the packages on the frame were a hit, too.

One thing . . . I really dislike wearing the holster and DH-17 during a parade. It tends to slide forward. An easy solution would be to "fix" the holster on a permanent position on the belt, but an easier solution would be: not to wear it next time Very Happy

It is always a work in progress...
my holster does seem to stay in place pretty good but will shift around a little

I did add the grenades on my belt...that does help the holster from moving around..

but they also get in the way of the pack a bit...
