Hello fellow Jedi.
This is my first Jedi costume build. I decided on the classic old republic look. I have ordered a ForceFX Kit Fisto saber which I am going to add orings to the ribbing on the grip to change its look just a little. What are your thoughts on the ForceFX sabers? I did read a lot of good reviews, but I would love your input.

I should have the saber next week and will post some pictures. I also got the word yesterday that my inner and outer tunics, obi, tabbards, robe and boots will be with me next week.
Ben

I have a question regarding trooping. is it OK to wear other pouches and a phone case (phone on silent) on the back of the belt if wearing the full robe? just thinking of being able to carry things like car key and wallet?

I own the Kit Fisto saber and I absolutely LOVE IT. Best star wars thing I own. Loud, bright, and stylish - you can't go wrong!

you should be fine with that if the phone is silent, if you're wearing a
full robe, no one but you knows that you have it with you. i put my car
keys in my belt pouches and its good to go.

The Force fights WITH me!!!

Heh, heh, heh...I had that same exact idea! I was even going to Lowe's to get O-rings today! Smile However, I think I may paint mine green to go with my whole costume color scheme.

Unfortunately, Lowe's no longer sells single O-rings or even in a cheap pack of multiples. I saw some that would probably work, but they were in faucet repair kits. I'll have to check somewhere else and see if I can find them. Once I do, I'll be sure to post pictures.

As far as pouches for cell phones go, I have one of the Anakin long pouches and it fits an iPhone perfectly. I added some E-3000 to the inside to make sure all the seams stay closed and I never had a problem.

for my (old fashioned) cell phone and iPod Touch, I made pouches from kits from Tandy. Though the images show the pouch tooled, it comes in smooth leather, which I dyed to match my belt. Since I made it, too, I still had some of the dye.

I wear them under my left arm on the belt, so that hides them a bit but they are still accessible when needed.
