Sarah still has not had her user name activated or whatever and it's been like, forever. We're not really sure what she should do, so I'll just be her voice for now.

We got our fabric. I have two whole pieces cut out, woo! My friend's showing me how to do it while she works on her kids' Halloween costumes. They want to know why I can't be a princess like them. Shocked I'd put up some pics but they're on my phone and not exciting enough to warrant finding my USB cord.

Here's the belt I found. The guy said he could probably do it cruelty free, but I haven't heard from him since.

See, I'm real!

I'm giving a HUGE thank to Jarred for finally getting my account approved.

I'm really excited to be a part of this!

Erica and I purchased our scrub pants on the same night, although Erica is a bit more petite than most people, so she had to special order hers. Her pants will be brown. Mine are white.

We have the same black boots she posted a picture of and I will be purchasing the same belt she posted a link to.

Last night we went to the fabric store and picked up white and black fabric for my tunic, obi, and tabard. Nothing to show there though, because nothing is sewn yet. Erica is the crafty person out of the two of us, so she is graciously making my costume for me.

Pattern told me to use twill so I figured I'd stick to what it recommended. Ridiculously expensive omg. Thank the Force for Jo Ann sending me like 500 coupons a day.

I would love to help with the Christmas event at the firehouse. It's actually my husband's firehouse (he's a volunteer firefighter) so I know exactly where it is.

I told a family who sons I teach about the Toys for Tots event and they're coming. I'm so excited. Stephen LOVES Star Wars. He's gonna be Vader for Halloween and his baby brother's gonna be Yoda. My cousin who's a huge SW fan will be coming too. I'm excited to show you all off to them.

Look look look!

I can sew now! It needs the sides sewn together, the collary trimmy thingy, and the seems in the sleeves and bottom still, but it looks like clothes! I wouldn't done more, but the bobbin ran out and I didn't feel like asking my mom how to thread a new one. I'm super proud though! First real sewing project ever, and it's looking pretty good.

Question: can I do brown pouches on a black belt? My friend found out I was making a Jedi and is giving me a ton of his old stuff. These are them.

There's a belt too that I'm sure will be too big for me and is brown, but I could probably salvage the hardware. I haven't actually seen any of it for real yet. I'm picking it up next weekend. He's giving me a tunic and an outer robe too but the pictures are really bad and I know they won't fit me. I'm hoping to be able to tailor the robe. Making stuff that already exists into better stuff is something I actually know how to do.

Oh, and here's my tunic with the edges finished. Just threw a random belt on to keep it shut, but those are the right pants and boots.

Good question. It never says you need pouches to match so I would say its good since theres no rule agist it. However I think if they wear black they would look better they look like the are plastic or resin could you get them and spray paint them?
