Hello! I'm new to the Rebel Legion and starting on a new costume. I'm having some trouble figuring out which fabric would be best. The pictures are a little rough but I was trying to do a side by side comparison. This is the fabric I was thinking about for the dress.

This is a crinkle organza I was going to use for the coat and parasol. It does look a little light for the coat but I'm hoping once I dye it with the yellow and pink it will be good.

I'm trying to get it approved, if I were to use these fabrics would it be approvable? If not, does anyone have any suggestions?

The texture of that organza is fantastic. If you can get it to take the dye well, I think that is a good choice.

For your dress, it's hard to tell from the photo you shared. I think the balance you need to strike is a little bit of shimmer without it being a shiny fabric. The color you have is probably good, but you may want to order a swatch and then take test photos in different lighting to see if it works.

I got super lucky and saw this costume on display with "Star Wars: Identities" in Tokyo last fall, and the dress fabric looked really fine/delicate. My best guess is that it's a matte silk charmeuse, but you could probably do it with something a little cheaper/sturdier.

Your fabrics look very nice. Very Happy

I think I've seen some use bridal satin for this, which is very thick and sturdy, so maybe that's an option? But yes, they did like using the beautiful silks in the prequel movies and this one is no exception.
