Todd Costumes is now offering Solo Boots. What do yall think?

It costs more than German or Russian military boots.

Looks like good stuff at a reasonable price. Haven't heard of them before this. Anyone used them before? Are they dependable?

Todd is well known in the Indiana Jones gear circles. He makes good stuff and backs it up. Thumbs up

I can also vouch for Todd's Costumes. I did a lot of searching and I finally ordered one of his Indiana Jones shirts. Came quickly and is great quality and service.

I also have my eye on those boots. They look nice and are priced at $199...

Ok, the boots came in yesterday and they are awesome! It took me forever to get them on and off (get some hooks and a boot jack!), but once I got them on- they were very comfortable and look awesome. I wore them for a couple hours and I could see myself walking around in them all day without a problem.

What a great deal for $199!

I saw someone on the forum had got a pair of hooks with handles to grab the loops inside and make it easier to get these type of boots on- I REALLY need to get a set of those- help me internet, you're my only hope!

The boots look great! And that was me that posted about the handles. I can't recommend them enough; it makes putting on the boots extremely easy. You can pick them up on eBay for cheap - just do a search for boot hook pulls.

Now get to work on building a holster!

For those of you who bought them, are they true to size?

mink oil and or saddle soap if they are leather can soften the leather around the ankle to make them easier to get on and off

Thanks for the heads up Havok. I did order the hooks of Amazon, but for some reason even though it is described plural (hooks), they sell individual and I only received one. So I have to order another. Mad

I think I will be building my own holster too since I need one for my Jango Fett build too. I might as well build two at once and get good use out of any tools and materials I have to buy. Smile

Nikkos- I would say they are very close to actual size. I wear a 10, but only a 10.5 was available. They are very comfortable, but I might have gotten away with a 10 too. It's hard for me to tell between a 1/2 size.
