Greeting, I am in the process of constructing a Rebel Technician outfit in hopes of soon joining the Rebel Legion. I am looking for information on the overalls. My current thought is to modify an existing Imperial technician uniform (gray) by adding 2 additional pockets below the existing ones. My question for this forum is: the Imperial uniform also has a lower arm com-pad pocket, should this pocket be removed? OR is there a pre-existing one available somewhere for purchase? Any insight/advice on the uniform in general would be of great help since I am new to this!

Cheers

Todd

Actually, you would be ok with the pockets on the sleeves..

The Rebel Techs also had sleeve pockets...and...
I used an Imperial gray jumpsuit for my second Yavin Tech..

My tan one was strictly a custom made job...and I added some of the arm pockets...not the comp pad pocket though..

The second set of pockets on the legs does need to be added...
since there is so little to this costume, it is an importand distinguishing feature.

As far as we can tell, the same pattern was used to make all the coveralls in the films.

Just submitted! I had some issues with the belt greeblies, so I removed them for the moment since they are not "required". I need to find a better way to attach them to the very thick British belt. The MC jumpsuit is fantastic too!

Found it...
Tim is already on it as the Judge for your costume...

I am familiar with the belt that you have...and ...
yes...putting mini-flares on that belt would be a challenge...

You will need to get a belt made out of a thinner strapping in order to put the mini-flares on it...
they do add a lot to the costume imho...

I have an idea I will be trying over the weekend that might work...will keep you posted.

Oh...by the way, I FINALLY got a BlueRay player and the first purchase of course was SW! After watching ROTJ on BR, I noticed that almost all of the technicians on Home One had their suits tucked into their boots. Maybe the standard should allow both tucked into boots and over boots???

either or on the tucked in or out...
looks like they had them out for the Celebration Scene...
and tucked in for other scenes...

so...
it is up to the wearer...
