A friend of mine has those. They are fine quality. But, they do have a texture to them. Not sure how picky the costume judges are about that.

And they don't make them big enough for me Sad

I got these replica jack boots and had them resoled:

A bit more. They are amazing quality and comfort.

I am hoping they pass, from what I understood German Jack boots were the ones used in the movies. So being they are surplus I was hoping they would be a really close match

Yes. Those are you listed are very close except for the textured leather. I know a lot of people who use them. I just wanted to show what is out there for us with clown feet Smile

The East German jack boots were a bit different from the WWII style that were in the movies. Quite small differences, mostly in the leather. West German jackboots are more close. But then, the WWII and West German boots are of really thick and hard leather. Not too comfy.

Those jack boots are fine. The costume judges don't distinquish between the smooth and 'pebbled' leather.

Hijacking this thread for my own purposes... Razz

These boots don't specify whether they are jack boots, only that they are officer field boots. Would they pass inspection?

They are seemingly the only place that carries a men's size 7, which is what I am looking for. Thanks!

Those will work.

If you want something new, this is what my wife wears.. just ditch the lower strap/buckle. http://www.leatherup.com/p/Mens-Motorcycle-Boots/Xelement-Mens-Classic-Motorcycle-Advanced-Engineer-Biker-Boot/41626.html
