Ok, so now that things are cooling off outside I was able to get in some good paint time....

Here's the progress of the Red Leader bucket I'm doing

Basic base coat and stripes

Adding outlines

Fill in the ram's horn details and side "swoop" stripe

And finally the decals

Next is the hard part. I need to rough it up a bit with scratches and rub/wear marks and a nice dirt wash.... more to come.

Awesome work.If you used Sharpie on the design, be careful if you intend to clear-coat it. I've seen Sharpie run all over the place when the clear-coat hits it. Shocked

I'd hate to see your awesome work ruined!

Agreed. If it is sharpie is there anything that can be done to "set" it so that it could be clear coated?

I used all non-glossy paint, so maybe that's why I didn't have an issue.

I clear coated the entire thing several times at various stages of decal application, then general dirt weathering, then final greasy blotchy weathering.

I used matt clear for clear coat from rustolium.

I saw the "Sharpies" in the picture and figured a warning may be needed, carry on... Mr. Green
