For those that didn't know, the Rebel Legion (as of Saturday) has completely re-done they way they are classing Jedi costumes. They are no longer making a distinction between generic Old Republic Jedi and generic New Republic Jedi, instead lumping all generics into the category 'Jedi'. For more information, here is a link to the announcement thread, which also has a link to the new standards: http://www.rebellegion.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=39469

Indeed, this is most welcome news! At last I can be an Old Republic Jedi as I had always intended! I even started a thread called "Rejoice!" in honor of this most delightful news; look for it in the Jedi section.

Cool

Yeah dude, I haven't heard from you in a while. What more do you have to work on to get approved?

Any plans for an upcoming "Costume Work Party"... I'd like to show what I've got for my Jedi to the group to allow for some discerning eyes to tell me what's horribly wrong with it before submission! :-P

Yeah, I would love to help out with that! My dad is a professional tailor and gave me all kinds of useful tips for making a Jedi costume both accurate and practical, so I would love to share that info with a new Padawan. Let me know!

Thanks for the offers guy. My fiancee and I are heading to Oregon this weekend to select two border collie pups from my aunt, so my weekend is booked. I'll touch base with you guys once I'm back to see if we can schedule a get-together.

Much appreciated!

Will do when I get home. Picked it up as a prebuilt "Obi Wan" on eBay. Pants need to be brought in, and something doesn't feel right with the tabards. Otherwise, I'm pretty happy... but I'll leave it to the experts.

If you have any recommendations for a tailor who's good at "reverse engineering" designs, I know what I want for new pants. Will take pictures as well.

:-)
