These changes are the BEST! Thank you Legion Council!

Thank Mark and our awesome team of LCJs. They're one of the most under-appreciated jobs in the Legion!

Thanks, Jason… I have to also add in thanks to the new DCO (and by default, the DXO since he’s a costume judge) of the Knights of the Jedi Order, who had a lot of input on these standards along with the staff & advisors of the Costume Standard Committee.

As far as KAM goes, tabbards under an outer tunic seems a little pointless, to me!

I know - but his outer tunic is really his robe if you think about it because it has a hood Smile (it is a bit of a robe/outer tunic hybrid) And it is made of robe fabric (wool). It just has an obi over it and does not go to the floor which makes it a bit hybrid-like. He and Sarrissa are cool that way Cool Probably stay cooler too! Laughing

Yeah, I always thought of it as the overtunic because of it being under the obi... but I want to be cool, too! I'm a fan of variations as long as they stay in contexts Wink

Vera, you ARE cool already. Especially in that Jedi outfit; it's looking great! I imagine if you took off Ki-Adi's robe, it would be interesting, especially considering he seems to have an unusual collar thing going on there. I have the Sideshow 1:6 figure, and his costume has some ... well, different tailoring choices.

I rather like that Ki-Adi styled tunic myself- I remember seeing a picture of somebody's jedi costume a few years back- it was done by a female cosplayer who felt that tabards didn't do the female form any favors. So she eliminated the above the waist portion of them, and just kept the four tails that hung down from below the waist, attached to her obi. A tabard arrangement like that might look pretty nice with a tunic like that:)

As for me, these standards will be an improvement- I've been wanting to do a black-robed Jed for the longest time:)

One more time about blasters.

Blasters are accepted or not ?

Accepted. Does not count towards 'optional' items.

I have questions on two items in the new standards:

Quote:
4. Black or Brown belt (all belts should be proportional to wearer):
* Style A: Similar to Prequel Jedi belts: Wide leather main belt with a thinner secondary belt on top of the main belt, and a movie-style buckle on the secondary belt. Thinner secondary belt cannot be loose or "sag".

"Movie-style buckle" can have a few meanings...is there a set number of specific screen-accurate styles permitted, or is there more lee-way here? Here's what I have so far for mine, is it a no-go?

Quote:
8. ...Boots and belt should match in color.

Does this simply mean brown with brown, black with black, or are you looking for more exact matches? My belt is a burgundy-brown, while my boots are the straight-brown Funtasmas. If need be, I can probably find some shoe polish to bring the boots more in line with the belt, or vice-versa, but I'm curious how close they need to be.

My opinion is...
your buckle is fine....it is the buckle on the thin belt...so it can't be very large...
we are trying to avoid the loud and garish...the oversized...the "bejeweled"....

and..
as far as boots and belts matching...
I think the point of that is ...

don't have black boots with a brown belt...
or say..

a very light tan belt and dark brown boots..

or a white belt (shudder) and black boots....

Correct me if I am wrong on that Mark..

Wink

Okay, so I'm just checking here, but Generic Jedi Generals for Clone Wars are still separate from the new Jedi standards? lol

I had a small moment last night when I just noticed the change, like a cool kid, and wanted to make sure. -just spent 6 hours sewing my under tunic-
