Before I potentially waste a lot of money I figure I better ask some questions:

What I'm thinking of doing is his and hers non-human old republic generic Jedi.

There are some reference images for the species, and there are definitely reference images for the old republic generic Jedi.
Am I going to have a completely hard time getting it approved, being that there will basically be no reference images for these two characters?

(Don't want to give it away by saying what species we want to do, we are currently sourcing a mask maker).

Just want to do something creative and unique, a character from the Star Wars universe that we just haven't seen (but that we're sure would have existed and has all the elements of a Star Wars Jedi character).

As an option: If we have other approved costumes would we be permitted to troop in these new costumes as a 'guest' character?

Thanks

I guess this has several parts, if the race or species has been in a novel, comic or figure then you should safe (will get Commander Barris to give you a firmer answer), the main issue is making sure you have all the CRL items for the jedi, the mask needs to be from the star wars galaxy.

ie you could do a existing species Jedi as one is in comic's, novel etc (?), it has to have the Jedi items to be approved but it is from a known species (no dog or Dr Who aliens).

To clarify further with an example, Admiral Ackber's Mon Calamari species but done as a Jedi would be approvable? Though we never see or hear of a Mon Calamari Jedi, it doesn't mean there never was one.
But the species I'm thinking of there was at least one Jedi mentioned, but we don't want to do that 'actual' character, especially because we want to do a his and hers characters and have them different.

your example just happened to have a references

you are on the right track, if your of the species has been named then you would be doing a relative or just another of that species that have been know to have force powers. unlike the 501st we allow more generic characters if you have a basis to put your case forward.

Mon Calamari species had a Jedi Padawan in clone wars....... so you could do another Mon Calamari Jedi master (or 2) not the one in the series.
