Hi Everybody,
Just wanted to show off my new SWTOR style lightsaber. Im very happy with the way the crystal chamber is coming along. This will be part of my SWTOR jedi armour costume, which I will be showing pictures of the build as it comes along. I will also add pictures of the saber when it is fully completed.

*Updated*
There appears to be an issue with all the photos in my build thread so I have taken them all out and posted a selection of picture of the build progress on page 4. I know there are some people who are starting this costum build and this may help them along tgte way.

Nicely done.

Very nice. I used Tim and TCSS for my saber. He does great work. I think that's where some of those parts came from. The crystal chamber looks nice. I also really like the brass look. I think I might have to do another saber that has some brass in it. Been thinking about doing a double bladed saber that can come apart into 2 different sabers. Might have to use the brass with that one.

Thanks for the kind comments. The main body parts are from Tim powder coated in brass. The crystal chamber I have builtfrom scratch, Im not sure if you can see from the picture but the chamber has the illuminated force crystal and the small focusing crystal at the front. Once the sound card is fitted and the wiring has been threaded through the two brass tube rods you wont see any wiring to.the blade led when you open the saber up.

The armour is coming along if you view the fliker acount you will see I will be wiring up the chest plate will orange EL wire for the oval and the two lower lights like the trailers. As you can see this will look very affective when worn.

Just a little update with my progress on my SWTOR armour. A lot of the prep has been done with sanding on the resin parts and test fitting the armour. I have started to spray the chest plate, with several primer coats several silver under coats before taping off and spraying the green. I havent done any battle damage yet or done any sealing gloss coat. As you can see the final product will be lit up with el wire and on the chest and lights on the gauntlet guards. I still have quite a lot to do as I am working on several projects at the same time. I find that if I do that I have prenty to do when resin and paint is drying. Please feel free to comment, I always like feedback.

I have been working on the armour build and thought I would show some progress pics:

As you can see the forearm armour will be lit along with the oval chest disc and lower accent lights.

Looking good so far.

Is that armor from TC9948 or that website... I can't remember what it's called... Imperial Armor, or something like that...?

Its from TC9948. I had been holding off for some time on purchasing a set from Imperial surplus, their set looks good but you get more for your money in this set. Plus I think there is more detail in it. But there is nothing wrong with both sets, its just a matter of personal opinion.

Just some progress pics of the costume. I plan on having it finished for the London comic con in October.

The plaques where made up by pastorjedi. They are metal not that plastic/paper metal effect stuff. I found his prices to be very reasonable.

I have had the chance to catch up on some things now, but still have stuff to do to have it ready for comic-con in October. I have the fabric already to make up the robe but I am having problems finding footwear, I had considered using old leather gaiters over brown boots.
Anyway here are some update photos with Bob doing the modeling.
