Apparently while I have been out on sabatical Han aquired:

"Han Solos Classic Costume Set
Star Wars
Perfect For Re-enactment, Stage Or LARP
Soft Green Velvet Pants. Suitable For Re-enactment, Stage & LARP.
Made of 100% pure cotton stretch velvet"

per an evilbay auction I just saw.

What I really wanted to know is how good of a cheap alternative this is?

To me it looks better than cosplaying and costume base, but I'm not sure.

That doesn't look half bad actually. The fabric might be a bit thin, and I think the bottom of the vest isn't quite right, but not a bad deal for a custom made piece to your measurements.

Work computers won't let me write the seller and ask about the fabric. I'll do that when I get home.

What do you think is better, that or Evolution for the vest? I consider Evolution to be on the high end of the low budget side.

That is what it is. There is no band at the botom of the vest.

The Evolution vest looks to be a little better, but it also has a few issues with it as well. However, I would agree it's probably the best of the lower cost options out there.

Leaning strongly towards Evolution. Has anyone else purchased one of these. I'm curious to know how they fit. Im 5'10" 185 lbs and wear large t-shirts and 33" jeans.

CaptSolo77 has one. Try shooting him a PM, or perhaps he'll chime in here...

That vest IMO would not pass. All the pockets are top-stitched down and have zero venting and as stated earlier... no waist band! With as thin as it looks I doubt its linned as well...

my 2 cents...

Im plugging away at it again. Ive got an Evo vest and caller ordered, little bottle for my belt ( thanks Havok), CE belt tools. And though I should have waited Im on a list for Magnoli gloves.

Now Im weighing options for buckles and would like to find a different set of rinfs and scope for my GK.

A bit of flustrating news is several years back I trashed out a pair of English tall boots that would have been perfect. Now they are on a Rubies Vader Im converting.

I went with Wade. I just liked the welded steel over alum and JB weld. Wade was by a computer about the time I ordered last night and was very prompt (within minutes) of replying. In fact I just got an email with a tracking number from him. If the buckles are half as good as the communication Ill be very happy. This responce is starting to sound a little one sided. The other individual recommended to me was very prompt in replying also. In fact with the other guy you get an additional buckle so you can swap out between the movies.
I havnt ben up long and Im starting to ramble so Ill stop typing for now.
