I noticed your posting on Feb 2012 and you mentioned you were working on a new cast for the HIC. I was wondering if you had accomplished this yet and if so, how much is it? I have my box created and am looking for the cast and the bottom and top "cups" also. Any feedback you can provide would be most appreciated! Thanks! Joe Gorzka

Hi Joe,
We do have the molds done for most everything, except some of the smaller greeblies. I haven't had time to finish designing the last of the greeblies and decals.

But as for the entire prop / block, volvo side panels, vacuum formed dishes, etc. we are good to go. I still need to nail down all of our costs before I can come up with a final amount but Kathy and I will put our heads together soon in regard to that.

thanks for checking Smile

Here is a teaser of its current state:

Thanks everyone!! Smile

The "next" project is patiently waiting in the workshop for me to start on it ... after C6 Smile

We are finishing up the remaining portions of this set now, that we were not able to finish for the last convention. We are taking it to C6 so if you are going be sure to come by the 501st room on Sat. or Sun. Or if you are going to the 501st bash on Friday night you might get a glimpse Wink

I want to post progress pics... but I promised I wouldn't until after C6.

We are hauling this set all the way from Northern Colorado to Orlando and gas is going to be a killer.

Help us out by buying one of these awesome patches:

Go to this thread:

http://www.rebellegion.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=40731&highlight=

For $5 you get this cool patch and buy us a gallon of gas Smile

Some members of the clubs get help from LFL or Robot Chicken while others get to foot the bill ourselves Smile

Gluing foam to the ceiling panels: Here I put weight on the foam while the glue set up

Kathy laying out the hole in the wall. Ed... spackling:

My friend and helper Josh putting on the first layer of foam coating:

Final coats on the foam:

The back side of the set:

Putting on the texture:

Lynelle... painting the "struts"

Dan and Steph workin' their magic with the painting and patina:

Attaching the ceiling:

It's debut at Starfest in Denver:

We weren't able to finish the "extensions" for Starfest so we had to finish the rest of the set for its trip to Orlando for Celebration VI:

We created the glasses from scratch. These are on the brass "drink stand" and are also on R2's drink tray on the sail barge:

Next up... the trip to C6:...

And now... the trip to CVI :

The set mostly loaded in the trailer:

What?.. Two Han in Carbonites? ... We had a special "Han delivery" hahaha.... I know.. it's a terrible joke. We delivered a Han to a very eager new owner in Kansas City:

Couldn't resist:

Putting up the set for the 501st bash:

(THANKS TO ALL WHO HELPED!!!!)

This was too funny... couldn't resist taking this photo:

Thanks again to all who helped!!! Moving the set from the Bash room to the 501st room was a HUGE PITA and I can't express my thanks enough to those who helped and to those who missed out on other things like garrison and legion photos, meeting Mr. Lucas, etc because you were helping. The boys of the Terror Australis Garrison were awesome. Thank you guys. Very Happy
