I have a Rav Bralor costume, based off Artwork by Tom Hodges as well as action figure produced by Entertainment Earth.

Her background is briefly described here: http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Rav_Bralor

She helped trained republic commandos during the clone wars. So does that qualify her as a supporter?

Rav Bralor has recently become an acceptable costume in the 501st, though the version that has been approved bares closer resemblance to Vhonte Tervho. I will need to relocate this reference but I remember reading that Tom Hodges stated that the entertainment earth character was meant to actually be Vhonte.

I will be honest and say I haven't the faintest idea. We'd need the 3 references in any case.

Are Any Mandos allowed in the legion? I know the backstory of Rav training Republic Commandos, but I don't know if they would be accepted. They were still mercenaries when they were doing the training.

Interesting question.

An other pics :
Rav Bralor Hasbro figures from the set mando'a and republic commando (the mandalorians on top)

And, not sure that the following pictures by tom hodges from great army and republic guide is saying it's rav bralor, but it's clearl the same armor.(on right)

My 2 cents, good luck to have your beautyful armor approved !

I don't have a problem with certain mandos like Mav Skirata, Rav Bralor and other bounty hunters like Embo being in the RL. If we can have Tuskens I don't see a problem with good or grayish mercenaries.

BUT to highlight the problems with this costume's references, as well as pretty much most of the other RC series Mandos.

The problem: To my knowledge this artwork is not published in any LFL material disqualifying its use for RL acceptance. This is what kept it from being 501st acceptable for a while until they dropped the three reference rule recently.

My 2 cents, good luck to have your beautyful armor approved !

That is a decision for the LMO.

But, I believe the answer was no. I'm not 100% sure though.

Ultimately it can't be, there just are not enough accepted sources for the costume.

Materials produced or licensed by Lucasfilm Licensing or Lucasarts. There have to be three corroborating references for characters and costumes not featured in the movies. Granted that's the easy answer, there are some images that are discouraged for use for various reasons, especially many "promo images" due to the fact they sometimes conflict with on screen costumes which take precedence.

For example, the above images by Tom Hodges are not valid because they have never been used in media by LFL (Lucasfilm Licensing) therefore they're not canon.

This is a very common problem unfortunately for a lot of characters from the EU novels. There are many very popular characters that we don't allow as formal costumes because there are either not enough references for them to begin with, or in the case of many older characters the references vary wildly.

The Skirata family of Mandos is especially murky because of the way the action figures have different names than the characters in the novels that they're supposedly based on. The whole thing is very murky.

Understood Smile

Are there any mando costumes approved by RL?

If so, can you post the costume standard listings please or email it to me?

Currently there are no Mandos approved by the RL. The only ones I believe we would even consider accepting are the Skirata family and right now they're not acceptable as is due to the references.

Sorry I don't have a better answer than that.

I appreceite all your help. Please excuse my noob questions. I am trying to learn so I can plan out my next costume.

I am currently working on a RFT costume and I am pretty close to being complete. I am waiting on a few more items to arrive in the mail and my last modifications.

I hope to submit my application within the next 3 weeks.

If there are enough LFL references for the 501st (and they require the same "rule of 3"), then why are there issues over here?

References aside, I would assume it would be the "goodness" of her character that would be more of an issue.
