Anytime. Very Happy

Sometimes it pays to have been the screen-shot collector for the RHS.

I officially give up. I got one side of the trim done (except it's incredibly wonky near the boobs), and started on the other side until i realized that I had the trim design going the wrong way and had to restart side 2. Not going to be done by Saturday, but it'll definitely be done by WonderCon.

I still won't let myself start Skyrim until I finish this, though. Sad

Sad day. Sad Jenna's coat is moooooostly done, and I have to attach my lining to the velvet, which involves a whoooooole lot of hand basting, followed by machine stitching, followed by more hand basting. Shocked Yeah, I can totally get this done tonight. I just need to make sure I have a loooooot of caffeine on hand, both today and tomorrow...

Sorry to hear you guys were having issues :-( I was looking forward to seeing your finished costumes all together :-)

I actually finished mine just in the nic of time for the event last night. I didn't really encounter a problem with the trim and the velvet. pinned the heck out of it on both sides of the trim and sewed up fairly easy. I was using the same trim that the movie had, which is fairly rough on the back side, so maybe that helped. What about using a glue to glue the trim on first and then stitch it down, or an iron on fusible tape?

Pictures of my complete costume :-) Sorry there aren't any detailed shots of the shirt, I need to take them still.

Forgot my gun... oops lol

More detailed pictures to come later, but this will do for now:

We finished! Barely. We'll tidy a few things up and wear them out again at WonderCon, and it'll be awesome. Also, this one is TOTALLY going with me to NYCC this year, since it's such a warm costume, and it's so much fun to wear. There may have been a lot of twirling and fwoosing going on, and that was only partly due to the sleep deprivation...

Haha, I've been the last two years, actually. Mr. Green One of my best friends lives in Brooklyn, so this is my annual trip to go out and see her. But yes, we should definitely meet up!

Rachel, I'm working on a photo tutorial, it was a lot easier than I thought and held up great - even when our Chewie was playing with it lol.

So, in an instance of pure stupidity, I got the whole jacket sewn together... and then realized that I forgot the facing. Bang Head Bang Head Bang Head
