Ok, I know that I am WAAAAY early on this, but I am working on my schedule for next year and wanted to get this listed before I either forgot about it or it filled up. Anyway, here it goes:

Who - Kevin McGarry - ID (TX)-3966 and Fran McGarry TR-1788. Co-owners of ACME Comics & Collectibles.

What - Free Comic Book Day

When - May 5th, 2012.

Time - I am thinking that I would like to actually have things going all day like last year (11:00 to 5:00.) I am working on some other things to go on to make this an event that the people stay a bit longer than just grab the comics and leave. More info later!! The line normally starts around a half an hour early and that's a good time for the troopers to meet with the crowds before all heck breaks loose.

Where - ACME Comics & Collectibles
1622 Pierce Street
Sioux City, IA

Turnout - The turnout every year is always very good. We always have a line that wraps around the building. Last year we had a great turnout of troopers/rebels and droids for the event and they were all appreciated VERY MUCH by the customers and staff, especially myself.

Media coverage - Always a given. We don't have much going on in Sioux City on Saturdays so there has never been a Free Comic Book Day that I haven't had at least one local TV news station show up, normally it is two if not all three.

Charity money - Definately. If you don't know me, I am very involved in the community and the local charities. Last year we raised money for Skate the State for MS.

Pizza/food/beer after event - Most Definately, if you want. ElFredos, of course I know how to take care of the Garrison members.

In conclusion, I will have more info as the time gets closer. I know that there are several other stores that would love to have the CG there, so I would appreciate anyone that can come to our event, even if it is only a few. I'm all about sharing the love with other stores.

Thanks for the consideration.
