Ok so I had this crazy idea today.

I want to make wookie armor for people at some costs to have an awesome wookie group at Celebration 6. We have a crap load of Chewies and and in a week or so's time 2 Tarffuls. (fingers crossed I have been insane on the shirt over the last two days. still a ton to do, but I can see the end in sight.)

What I plan to do is make a few more pieces of wookie armor and helmets.

Here is what I plan to build...

Wookie Arm Sheild....

Wookie Helmet 1

Wookie Helmet 2

I already have masters made for shoulder bells and ammo boxes, though I would have to remold them since the molds are shot.

Here is my thought....

I would like to possibly have a wookie gathering and try to reenact the beach battle scene. I know most people have chewie suits, but they look different enough from each other that a few accessories here and there, and a different bandolier would make all the suits look very unique.

Last year at CV the 501st organized a bunch of walk troughs with costumes and reenacted a bunch of scenes. There is some planning already for a few more fun things like that for C VI coming up. I would like to do this with the wookies. I would not like to see all of us be Chewie though. I think the varriation would be the amazing part to this.

Here is how this would work if we did this. I will be making masters and casting them up. I will cast all the pieces in resin so that if need be they can be shaped more appropriately to each persons own costume. The resin would be heated up in an oven or by using a heat gun and then streached or collapesed based on each persons needs.

Because I am offering this to wookies, what I want to do is anyone who is attending C VI and wants to do this, I will make the parts at cost. Since I still have not made anything just yet I don't have actual figures, but i wanted to see what the interest in this would be, if there is none, ill still make the parts for me. If there is something, I will figure out costs.

After C VI, I will make the parts available to anyone else looking for something. If you think this would be something cool, let me know.

I also plan to make the alternate chest pentagon. Just incase that was needed.

I have not spent much time thinking about armor TBH, but admit it would neat to see a bunch of wooks in armor.

I will have to spend a bit of time thinking on the armor. Just not sure if it's the route I want to go with my costume... so much to do and so little time.

I am just seeing this and think it's great. I am in depending upon cost. Thanks Jason!

Jason, do you happen to have a "ballpark" figure on the cost? Thanks.

The arm sheild is gonna be in the neighborhood of 40ish? in materials i think. The piece in my head and my drawings are 20ish inches long, and 10ish wide. Ill keep playing with dimentions on paper till I get it right.

The helmets I have no clue on I wanna say the regular battle helm which appears simple enough could be 80ish? Maybe the same for tall helmet?

I dont believe anything will be more than 100 for any pieces.

Im still in the planning and sketching phase of the parts.

I might be interested in getting some of these armor parts, and I know two friends of mine who definitely will want them for their Tarfull and Marumaru builds.

First sketch, I think i got the basics, but i need to add some more length to it. Guessing it will be 23 inches long when done and 1oish wide. Still playing with dimentions. But I like the overall feel of the design and I know how Im gonna make it.
