I am thinking of making a costume and apply for membership. My original idea was to just make the Corran Horn costume from the "I Jedi" cover art. Apparently the only current allowed costume is the NR Jedi one. What I now ask is this: Would it work to make an X-wing pilot costume (with all the necessary specs) and do a green flight suit instead of orange with rogue squadron badge and rank as well as including some corsec details on the suit and helmet and a Nejaa Halcyon lightsaber to go with the blaster and harness.

Also some help and advise on where to find supplies in Canada (specifically Manitoba) a well as NW North Dakota and NE Minnesota.

Thank you.

Welcome to the Rebel Legion. Glad to see you're interested in the pilots. The green flight suited Corran Horn is still informal as far as I know (and I have one as does another member of our base).

I don't think we ever got the number of required sources for formal status together. There's an old discussion thread here...

But if you're getting everything together for a pilot anyway just get the orange flight suit for your accepted, formal costume and then the green flightsuit as an informal.

I looked at that topic. Thanks. I guess I'll work towards making the regular costume then, if and when I have time. Dairy farming is a very busy occupation and lifestyle. We'll see what the winter brings. Would be awesome to get it started and finished before the later half of May. KeyCon in Winnipeg. Timothy Zahn is the main guest. Very Happy

Any chance this could become a Formal costume? I mean, Corran Horn is one of the most famous EU characters and his iconic green flightsuit should be accepted as Formal IMO. Actually you could get three sources.

1. Detailed description in X-Wing Rogue Squadron novel.
2. Detailed description in at least one other X-Wing series novel (could be Bacta War).
3. Art from Star Wars Essential Atlas:

You can even see the paintjob on his helmet here. It seems to be very similar to Wedge's helmet.

Right now, there are only the two references. I'm not aware of a double-novel one. However, if you can quote sources (book title, chapter & page), that might be helpful.

I will go through my X-wing books tonight. I know Rogue Squadron had a description. I want to say Bacta War or Isard's Revenge had one as well.

Keep in mind, it has to (a) be a full description, and (b) can't contradict any other source. It's all got to match.

Sorry, all heck broke loose today and I got home crazy late. I'll pack them in my purse and see if I can't scout at work instead.

Edit: Hey, didn't Krytos trap have something at Corran's "funeral" about how they were switching flight suits/etc as a tribute to Corran? There may have been a pretty solid description there.

Yes if I remember correctly there was something about having the uniforms in his color to honor him, will try to find it as well. Smile

True, but action figures never counted in the grand scheme of things here.
