We'll be at this one, though what combination of me, Sarah, and Marcus will be actually trooping I don't know yet, nor what days exactly. We'll have the kids so it's unlikely both of us will troop (and it depends on if we can bring in non-troops with us if we bring some family along to take the kids to look while we troop).

Not sure on the policy with getting non-troops other than maybe the kids in. Bill or Chris would know best on that one so let me find out. Looks like we'll have bit more of a rebel presence this year.

Last year every trooper got two free passes too (to use that day or later). Last time I talked to Chris he wasn't sure if they'd do that again or not, I've been meaning to ask him again. Sarah's cousin may not need them if she comes to help coral the baby, as she has a family pass anyway for hers, so it'd just be Roslyn that's non-trooping and doesn't have a family pass... We're going to talk to her cousin this weekend about it (ironically, she's taking Roslyn to the Zoo on Sat Smile )

I will verify on the passes for family, etc, and what other benefits I can wrangle up, but I don't see why we wouldn't be able to get the rest of your family in if part of it is in costume.

Hello everyone!

My name is Shane Ward (aka Ken Do Dad). I'm pending final costume approval for my Old Republic Jedi outfit. However, I will be participating on Saturday for my very first RL outing! So tack another Jedi on the Saturday list. Ben

Hi Shane. Can't wait to see what you're working on!

I think that how it'll work is Marcus and I will be trooping and Sarah and Roslyn not, but Sarah's bringing her new fancy camera and is going to try and get some practice in with it. I'm pretty sure we'll be there Saturday, and MAYBE just for a a little bit on Sunday too, but not sure about that yet.

Sounds good, Bart. I will have my two free passes that Chris gives out available as well that I don't need. They didn't end up getting used last year.

We will be happy to have you join the ranks, Shane! It will be a great first troop for you.

I think Roslyn will be free still (for one last season... I believe it's under 3 are free), so my passes should be just for Sarah each of the two days. If her cousin comes too with her family, they have season passes so we're good there.

Do we need to cross post here, if we responded to the 70th thread there?

If so, I'll be there, in my Endor trooper, with two other 70th members Smile

It is looking like we'll have a great turnout for this event.

Reminder this is coming up next weekend, the 15th and 16th. Very Happy

Should we come in that same side door as last year?

And I'm looking like it's only going to be Sat. for me, we're going to have to do some moving stuff on Sunday.

Yes; going in the door to the left side of the ticketing windows, it is labeled Administration above the doors. Then we'll be in either the same conference room as last year or the conference room that is across the hall.

There has been some confusion on the facebook site of times, so keep in mind that the Zoo does not open until 9:30am, and times posted on the Zoo's website are 10am to 3pm. So if anyone sees people talking about being there at 8am (besides me), you do not need to be. We will have plenty of room, plenty of time, and I have already acquired drinks and a large cooler so we will have plenty of that as well.

And ... for a little motivation, here is a couple of pics from last Saturday's Halloween event in Kearney, MO:

The Scout Trooper was trying to shoot me through the soft-top of my helmet.

This is me with a secret Rebel location behind me.

Since we should have a good RL turnout, do we need to consider any coordinating of costumes for this event?
Saturday we should have two new jedi with shane and ian, plus I think the Cooks will be there with R2 & their new republic jedi. Saturday I'm planning on rebel commando, and sunday i'm thinking Mando, but if there is other mandos there I may switch to rebel.

Rich, you've got more costumes now, are you planning on doing the commando?
