Well I just submitted my application so hopefully I'll be accepeted, I just thought I'd show off a it to everyone and see what you guys think of my costume.

A standard Solo pose

and here is the break down of my costume.
A three holed two pronged black leather belt

My belt tools and droid caller

A pair of the standard cheap trooping boots

A accurate, leather like gun belt with a molded and capped holster

A rubies DL-44 repainted

My vest

My shirt

With a simulated yoke in the back (sorry its so hard to see)

Here are my pants
The riding seam

The pin tuck

And the accurately sized and spaced hand embroidered blood stripes

There is not a thing on the costume that I did not make, repair, or alter in some way to make this outfit. While there are parts I'm not as happy with as i could be, and stuff I would like to upgrade, I think for the time and budget I had its pretty spiffy.
And since I'm new I might as well say a few things about myself. My name is Robert, but some people call me Bob, or Harry. I've wanted to join the legion for quite some time now I just didn't think I could because of how crazy my schedule was, but its much better now. This costume is almost a year old, I had made it both for Halloween last year and to submit it to the legion, but I was afraid it might not be good enough. Then I attended Dragon*con this year I met Darthmitsy, and she gave me enough of a boost to get me to try out. So what do you guys think of the outfit, and if you have any questions, personal or costume wise, fire away.

Looks rogue enough!!!

Only thing I would change though would be to have boots with no zippers on them to be as accurate as you can...other than that, looks great!

Since you have the other three formal requirements, it appears that you would be considered for formal status, but again, that's the LCJ's job!

Looks pretty good for a start. How about some more info on the build process for the holster\belt and belt tools? Any work in progress pics?

Yay! I made it in Smile. When I have a bit more time I'll go into detail on the hows and why of the build. I'll dig around for pics, I don't remember if I took any during the build, but I think I have some.

The goatee is my normal face Razz but for Halloween last year I grew my hair and styled it as close to Hans as I could manage and did indeed shave off the facial hair Razz.

this was our little Halloween group last year, its Corran Horn, Mirax, Han, Mara Jade, and a generic dark jedi (his was really a throw together costume at the last minute Razz ) see no facial hair Razz

The Mara has a custom drop down saber holster that I designed and made for her, sadly because I was on a tight deadline with a billion things to do it didn't come out as nice as I wanted but it defiantly did the job Smile
