Hey folks i found this while hunting on the SWTOR site (again) I really like the out fit kind of Hanish. I was wondering what people thought and if it would be able to be approved?

Thoughts?

It looks like pic2 may be fan art. At least I've never seen it anywhere before, only the original image.

Don't want to speak for the command staff or costume judges but I'm guessing it would be informal. There just isn't enough source material yet or costume standards written. There's still debate going on in the jedi area on the standards for TOR jedi costumes as well.

I think, those could be considered like another source:

But thing is, there will be more outfits for TOR smuglers:

And I think, it will be very hard to declare some general TOR smugler standards Sad

Unless the references are that of specific characters in the Star Wars Mythos... it fall to generic references.

At this time there are no costumes allowed as generic smugglers.

Generic works for jedi, becuase even a generic jedi must follow a guide that makes even a generic jedi somehwat uniformed to the rest of the Jedi in the club. When someone says I am bringing my generic jedi to an event... as an eventcoordinator there is no need for panic... becuase you know what you will get. With something like generic smuggler... there is just no telling what you would get... and that alone would make quality control a nightmare for judges and event coordinators.

Its just better as a costuming group that we do not head down the path of generic smuggler, because there is no good way to control the quality or the standards.

you can just do a Han outfit, if you're looking for something that can be approved anyway.
Otherwise, there is that one lady...mirax or something? She's a smuggler, and there was a lady that just recently made one and was accepted with that.

If the source material doesn't change, I would dare to say: Not acceptable yet.

A while back I added a few people to the list of possible smugglers that could be approved if someone wanted to make the costume.

bellow is a femal smuggler with enough references... and is not Mirax! She is sexy and a smuggler... and a bit scruffy, who could ask for more?

That and other characters have been uploaded to the Fringe photobucket via this link ***Character Resource list for Fringe***

I'm happy to do it with the face paint and wig. I really like the out fit. And while i do LOVE Han I'm not share about doing him as a girl. Thanks everyone for the thoughts and ideas. I'll keep posting my progress if i decide to do this version. Can anyone tell me, It looks like she has violet eyes. What do you think?

Blue is good. Don't need contacts for that. Wink

Hylo is a "real" character with different sources. She is okay ... to be correct: I already knew one who wants to make a Hylo costume. *g*

I hope she takes some progress pictures soon, so that I can show you. Wink

That'd be awesome Christian. The more I look at Hylo the more i like her. I already have my Barriss and she's Mirilan so it really does suit. And the costume is pretty much the same as the other i was looking at. Smile

If you do go with Hylo...

Just make sure you take lots of progress pictures, and help us build up the tutorial section. It is also common that the first person to build a costume has the honor of "Setting the standards". Help the next person to make the costume by help write the standards for the next gal who decides to make the costume.

Something to think about.
