When I first made my Cathar Jedi, I didn't know there were more feline race.
I like tigers, that's why I made mine look like a tiger.

But I was pointed out that Cathars are more Lion-like feline humaniods, no stripes.
And I was like, "oh dear"

What do I do now?

Which other race would you recomend, Trianii or Togorian?

I would very much like to acquire a mask like member Tirilia (Lyz).
http://www.rebellegion.com/forum/costume.php?mode=view&c=5256

I'm already re-doing the costume with better fabrics.

But first I need to know where to buy that mask.

Any help is appreciated!
Wink

That being said...

How about discusing the differences between the three species?
Cathar, Trianii, Togorian.

here is a sample of a Jedi Cathar

as you can see, more of a lion like species

and one of a triannii, a human

and finally, a Togorian, more along the lines of a tiger

The Force fights WITH me!!!

This is what I have on Trianii:http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Trianii
The Trianii were an advanced, adventurous felinoid species. Their general form was in some ways similar to the Togorians, Cathar, and Catuman Warriors (indeed, many Trianii that were found on other worlds were mistaken for the aforementioned species), and like them, Trianii had excellent balance and eyesight, and a talent for leaping, jumping, and acrobatics. Unlike most other feline species, however, Trianii had prehensile tails. They had fur, which could come in a variety of colors and patterns. Adult Trianii averaged two meters in height

(here's a query: How tall is 2 meters? I'am pettite size, this might present a problem)

An this on Togorian:
http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Togorian
The Togorian people were a feline warrior species native to the planet Togoria. They were known for their association with the Mandalorians. As a species, they were large bipeds, with retractable claws on their hands and feet. Female Togorians were up to 2.2 meters tall, while adult males ranged up to 3.0 meters. They were covered in gray-white to black fur, often with more colorful spots or stripes. They had extremely dense bone tissue, allowing them to endure greater physical trauma than beings with similar physiques

The Catuman:
http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Catuman
Catumen were sapient felinoids known for the fierce mercenary warriors of their species.

Cathar:
http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Cathar
The Cathar were a race of feline, bipedal humanoids. The baseline Cathar had fur-covered bodies with thick manes. They had prominent, retractable claws that could deliver powerful killing attacks on foes and prey.

Between Trianii and Togorian, the Trianii feet look more normal than Togorian which look like rear cat's legs.

The thing is, I want to make my Tiger Jedi better and realistic, it cannot be a Cathar, that's for sure. Catuman is out of the question too.

Ok! I know where to buy the mask, yee pee! ... and ouch 'cause it's gonna seriously hurt my pocket. But heck, this will be my x-mas gift.

This is what I'm aiming for:

If the maker can give it a more female look, great, if not, I'll take it like that.

How about this? Nice pose, isn't it?!!!

I feel like I'm doing a "George-Lucas-change" with this costume, hahahaha!
Changed the costume, changed the race, and finally will even change the name. LOL

2 meters is about 6 feet tall since 1 m is roughly 3 feet

Awesome masks! What's the price range for those? I bet they could make a bothan too!

So,

The Catuman are bipeds humanoid cats with fur and tails.

The Cathar are humanoid lions also with fur, no tails. But they can shave to look even more human.

The Trianii are bipeds felines, with humanoid body structure (normal legs), covered in fur, which can have different patterns including stripes, and have tails

The Togorian are also bipeds felines, but their legs are more animal like, they have longer snout, and covered in fur.

I'm definitely going with Trianii.

So this:

...will have to change from Cathar to Trianii and become this:

...in order to be really accurate.

Some project I have.
