Report written by Moth, on behalf of Polis Massa Base.

---

Hello there, fellow Rebels! I’m a tad late with this one, but finally, here it is.
Yearly on the 27th of August, the fast food chain McDonald’s® holds on come countries a sort of commemorative event, called the McHappy Day™, in which all Big Mac™ sales are reverted to help child cancer foundations.

Yearly, we from Brazil offer to participate. Being SW a popular franchise among people, and some people enjoy eating at McDonald’s…we commute our members in front of a few selected restaurants and draw some attention to ourselves, while allowing for pictures and asking members to contribute against child cancer by having their Bic Mac’s. Piece of cake, huh?

This year our Commander has allowed us to form two teams, acting on two different ends.
In the morning, the guys who live around point A met at a local McDonald’s restaurant.
After that, we got the members that hadn’t left by midday and met the guys at point B. (Check map)

While we were in São Caetano, point A, we had the opportunity (and were invited totally by chance) by a local church member who runs a shelter home for kids. We accepted the invitation, and end up visiting the kids – who weren’t really expecting us – and got very happy with the surprise.

Here’s a few pictures, but you may check all of them all HERE.

---

So, that was São Caetano. We took a few pictures with the kids at the shelter home, but since they are kids and not really responsible for their own safety and right to their pictures, those will not be posted in here.

After that, we rode all way up to Santana, the neighborhood around point B (map)
There, we met a few other members, and spent the afternoon trooping and calling people to join us.

Pictures of the second part of our troop: HERE).

That’s what we have so far. On my next posts, I will properly identify the people seen on the pictures, as well as say who participated.
I hope you enjoyed it =)

MTFBWY.

Thanks Moth, great report mission.

This time I went as a representative of the Mandalorian Merc Vode an Brazil clan and not as a Jedi master, but it was really cool to be with you all.

Hello!

Bumping this thread a little, even knowing it's almost a month old, I'm updating the final part of this report. Our legion friend from Campinas (a nearby city) trooped with his friends over there, and his individual report was sent, too.

Here's what he had to say...it's REALLY worth reading!
How many of us actually thank the RL for changing our lives? =)

---

"For the third consecutive year, we participated here in Campinas helping the Boldrini Child Center in this marvellous day which was McHappy Day. We participated with 3 SW Characters, being one Mandalorian (Eduardo Canha - Mando Mercs), a Sith Lord (Groba) and myself as Obi-Wan Kenobi.
It was really gratifying to participate once more and experience fully the contact with people - seeing people wonder and admire, smile and ask for pictures.
Even more pleasant is seeing the children's face. Even if sometimes they are ashamed, they always end up always smiling as we wave and ask if they want pictures...

I hope I can always collaborate with institutions like Boldrini Center through the Rebel Legion and other SW fan clubs.

Well, I want to thank my friends Alexandre (Groba) and Canha for participating with me in this important and touching event. I also want to thank the Rebel Legion and all the support this club offers to its members - so all of it may become reality.

HERE are some pictures.

Hugs to all,

Luis - Obi Wan Kenobi
