The truth is that it will likely be awhile before the costume standard gets looked at again. We had a 2 year suspension of changes to standards while the Legion went through re-judging and now the floodgates are open for re-defining some of the standards.
I have several other standards to go over and it is not just a matter of "let's change this". There has to be proposals and voting etc...
so...
I don't see a re-vamp of this standard in the near future.
As far as the rank badges...

Thanks for the awesome photos!
The lower badge looks like 1/72 scale torpedo or airdropped depth charrges. I likely have those in my extensive stash. The top one is a bunch of model parts as well,looks like part of the Boushh castings for that bandolier.
Now i know what im looking for. Thanks a bunch!

I'm looking at doing a Gunner.
Would the Imperial Scanner Flight suit be a good starting point? I know I need to add a second set of leg pockets.
Would I also need to remove the chest pockets and the arm pockets?

I think I have everything for my Endor Gunner except Vest and corresponding rank pins. I'll post of what I have to make sure I am moving in the right direction.
