Report written by Moth and Rysa-Mara, on behalf of Polis Massa Base.
Aided by Marlon Ragabash.

Greetings, my fellow Rebels. It's been quite a while since our Polis Massa members took place in a great number of activities, but now several members who were a bit inactive are back on track.

Currently, we have attended few events. However, two special events took place, and we believed it was worth it to let everyone know. Our sister clubs both celebrated their anniversaries - Vode An Clan, Mandalorian Mercs chapter for Brazil Southeast Region along with the Brazilian 501st Garrison respectively completed their 3rd and 10th year in activity. Hooray to our brothers-in-costumes!

The dates of the events were July 23rd and 24th, respectively. (Not the founding dates, though)

As I (Moth) haven't really attended those events, this will be a brief report. Again, it might be updated to further include information - but for now it'll feature only what I know.

The 501st Legion Anniversary

Ricardo (Kim Kaphwan) represented Polis Massa base during a ‘roundtable’ with leaders/coordinators from all SW groups present there and also, one Star Trek group. But other official members attended the event. Vinicius Ayres (TK 194) is the founder of the Brazilian Garrison so, he was there for sure. He not only told the story of the club but also mentioned Kate’s and R2-KT story, a very touchy moment.

Our friends Marlon and his wife Sarah (Ragabash Glasswalker and Uzma here) were there as non-costumed 501st staff members, along with Mary Farah (Rysa-Mara here), Marcelo Forchin (Forch Inn here) and please, if some other member was there and was not mentioned here, just inform and the post will be updated. Some of our friends who are members of Blades Saber Team were there too.

This is what Marlon had to say:

The 501st event was great, yet a bit more crowded. Dr. Sin was there, there were several stands where people could get some merchandising as well as exchange items. There was about 180 to 200 people at most, but it was very enjoyable overall.

Mary complemented:

It was great being there greeting and meeting our fellow friends. I couldn’t stay until the end of the day, but I heard that Dr. Sin members are great Star Wars fans and enjoyed a lot the event, interacting with both Star Wars fans and the band’s fans.

Pictures coming soon!

Vode An Clan Anniversary

Thiago (Kenobi) was our only RL representative. Mary (Rysa-Mara) was their official costumed member, representing the Clan. Marlon told me that this event was somewhat calmer than the 501st one, there were lectures on the Mandalorian universe and about “How to build your Mandalorian Armor”. There was a video from out mandalorian sister-clan from the southern region of Brazil, and also little Leah's situation was commented upon. Around 90 to 100 people attended this event.

Mary complemented:

...and there were few children there who enjoyed a lot the target shot game with Nerfs (the target was a poster of a battle droid). We also had the traditional mandalorian ‘Uj’ cake prepared by Miriam, wife from Vode An member Henrique. Sarah prepared 40 cupcakes with Boba Fett’s helmet design. A very gastronomic party, I must say.

We had the presence of our two fellow friends from Império Comando Rio de Janeiro, Sandra Correa and Alessandro Tuze. Both of them are 501st members and came one day before 501st event just to attend Vode An’s event. It was a GREAT party with a good and joyful familiar atmosphere.

Pictures coming soon!

Well, that concludes it for now.
Grateful, once again, for your attention!
