Here on the light side we tend to be a little fuzzy on morally gray characters. That being acknowledged, I would like to know if I can submit my Ailyn Vel as a fringe character.

I've worked really hard on it, and it is one of my favorites. I premiered it at Phoenix Comicon in January.

I'm guessing, at best, I can maybe get an informal listing with her. Any thoughts? Questions? Answers?

Thanks.

I may be mistaken, because my knowledge of EU charactor is a bit fuzy too. From what I remember isnt she a bit evil? Like the daughter of Boba fet or something like that? I would think being an evil bounty hunter, she would be more 501 EU applicant. I could be wrong though.

I mean didnt she get sent to kill Solo?

Talked to a few other LCJ's and they feel that this costume is not an RL costume. I would recomend trying to get it into the 501 under the EU standards.

Sorry.. Sad

No problem. As I said, she is morally gray.

Thanks for all the input Smile

If you're going to talk to 501st, I'd recommend TheDentedHelmet, which is the Bounty Hunter detachment.

As a GML in the 501st, I can say that this isn't an approved costume in the 501st (at least it isn't so far) because there is no costuming standards listed for this costume.

Plus the most famous descriptions of her... don't they have her wearing Mando Beskar'gam?

I love it! Try joining the Mandalorian Mercs.

Yeah, Mando Mercs will take anyone who has a good Mando costume. It seems that their costuming restrictions aren't so stern as RL or 501st.

I don't see the costume listed in her profile.

So if there is no standard written, nobody can register the costume? Or is it just if that's the applicant's first costume?

I think there's the argument that she's not so well established as a "good" character?

A lot of the time, the person who's submitting a costume that has not been submitted before will be the one who comes up with, or helps with the writing of the Standards for it.

I know that's the way it works here at RL, but Bill seems to be saying that at the 501st, you can't submit a costume (formal, informal, canon or EU) unless there are existing standards. Just wondering if his statement is as it seems, or if she would have to have an existing 501st-approved canon costume on record before she can add an EU character.

Oh, and for the record I really like Brenda's costume! I especially like the Star-Wars-y-ness of that jacket (anymore pics of that?)

And before anyone says anything about her use of the Hasbro Han blaster, take a look at the only reference photo of that character:
