This will be a solid one part resin helmet. Of course the lense will be vacuformed from lexan and dyed amber. Im looking to also cast the chin cup in a flexable resin, but i'll have to see how that works out.

Dude! You didn't tell me you were molding these! Most impressive, just like your other builds. Welcome to the RL!

Are you planning to make these for selling or just one for youself? I ask because I've promised a friend to be on the lookout for X-wing helmets. Wink I may not have the money for one for myself right now, but hopefully that will change sometime over the next year.

We'll see how it goes. I have to see if i get a good fit between the visor and helmet and then figure out my cost on materials. We'll know soon. That said, i just got the mold split open lastnight....

Alright, thanks. Smile It's not something she/we need right now, but she is trying to upgrade her X-wing pilot to RL standard, while I'm going to start from scratch either late 2013 or 2014, so... Rolling Eyes

Very, VERY nice Evo ... any chance you'll be making these available to other pilot recruits? We're always looking for more helmet vendors. Very Happy

I do plan on making these available at some point..... hopefully soon. I just got the bucks done for the chin cup.

I have a hard time keeping up with all the forums, but you can follow the progress of the helmet on my Facebook page under "EVO3 Props".
