This FAQ (big thanks to Daritha for putting it together!) contains the most Frequently Asked Questions about the Knights of the Jedi Order detachment of the Rebel Legion:
What is the KJO?
The Knights of the Jedi Order (or KJO for short) are a detachment of the Rebel Legion. We are the rally point for all Jedi and Force-user related costumes in the whole Legion.
What do you do, exactly?
The KJO is here to provide qualified and professional assistance in making a Jedi costume. One of the signature costume categories in the Legion are the Jedi. We try to keep up the high quality by providing insight in the making process or give advice once a costume is in the work or finished.
Our main goal is to make easy-to-follow costume tutorials. With this, you have a great source in how to make a Jedi costume. You don't need to ask around in the forums and wait many days until someone answered your call for help. With the tutorials, you can read everything up yourself - and now!
However, in addition to the tutorials, there will be real people, too, who can answer your specific questions about the costumes.
How can I be part of this?
You don't need to be a KJO member to participate in our work - although we'd like you to become a member in the end. Everybody can ask questions, read the tutorials or provide some new insight in the making process.
You need advice in making the robe? That's the KJO is for. You have a new and inventive sewing technique for making a Jedi costume and want to share it? That's the KJO is for.
Why do you have such high standards?
To be part of the KJO means that every costume here has to be extraordinary by all means. The KJO represents the costume quality of the Legion and, therefore, must have high standards.
However, in general, having an approved RL Jedi costume is all you need to become a KJO member.
What are Temples?
A Temple is a division or a branch of the KJO in the Bases and Outposts (something like a regional management there). You can look up details in the KJO Charter.
Why are there Temples in the KJO?
Currently (2010), the KJO has far more than 300 members. Imagine now a Base with about 100 members. Then, a promotional event for a new video game, and the organizer wants only Jedi to promote the game. Without a Temple in that Base, the one have to look up every member in the Base roster who is a Jedi (or in the KJO roster who is from that Base). With a Temple in that Base, one can simply forward this matter to the Temple Master. Basically, a Temple miniaturizes the bureaucracy. Base temples also allow local Jedi to plan get togethers such as prop workshops.

I feel honored to be invited to join such a prestigious group. How does one become a member of the KJO? |

It's easy, just go here: http://www.forum.rebellegion.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=12290
Once you are accepted, be sure to let the Temple Master of your Base's temple know!
