For that costume I used my old prom gown I wore for my sister's prom that was similar to the one used in the movie, altered it by adding sleeves and dyed a $6 fabric too commercial Belle yellow! However I'm now faced with a choice either to dye the whole gown(which my godmother told me that dress may be too hard to dye) or pay for another shawl I found with a similar hue of the dress. The other task I must work on is adding those numerous sequins to the skirt.

The gown itself looks a little too pale. What you have looks great, the shawl and gown (& corset) need to match closer in color. And all those sequins!! Wink

Tintex may not, but here's a good dye for polyester:

Granted the iDye for polyester only comes in 8 shades, but yellow is one of them.

Perhaps yellow with a tint of orange, you wouldn't want it traffic sign yellow!
