Phyllis, my only concern right now is your coat. The movie coat goes down to mid-calf/ankle. Is yours not finished yet?

Though second question is what pattern did you use/go off of to make the seamless collar?

My coat is about mid calf.....

and I used the pattern on the left in this photo below for the coat

I have to add the mock pockets....forgot about those...
and am going to re-make the undertunic piece out of a rust brown fabric that more closely matches the color of the pants I intend to use....
and also need to find gloves...

I will be honest in as much as if something regarding the costume is not up to the standard...
I will just settle for informal as I don't know that this costume is one that will be worn much anyway...
I am going to do my best to make it as "formal" as possible...
but...not going to lose sleep if it is deemed informal...

What's the McCalls pattern on the right? I haven't seen it before, so I'm assuming it's an out-of-print?

It might be out of print....
I bought it many years ago to modify to make a Han Solo-like shirt from...

that is what I used to make the undertunic piece for this project by squaring off the collar ....and made it sleeveless to cut down on the layers.

It is McCalls 3826

Well, went shopping in the LA fabric district yesterday for our handmaiden costumes, and tried to peek around for Pilot stuff as well. The few stores I managed to remember I need Pilot fabric as well were a bust. I couldn't find the right color of moleskin/suede for the shirt, and I found an incredible fabric for the jacket on sale with the right texture, weight, and price ($3 a yard!), but it was a very dark red-orange. Sad

I need to go back and actually dedicate my entire search to Pilot fabric...

Fabric buying is always a pain...especially when one is really not 100% sure of the color. I got lucky when I found the rust colored fabric on my last outing after looking at one Joanne's store and finding nothing, I went to another location and found enough left on a bolt to work with.

I actually finished up yesterday...I just have to get photos taken.

I re-did the undershirt in the rust color linen instead of the maroon/burgundy that the first one I made was.

I also put the mock pockets on the large outer jacket and finished up all of the strapping on the boots.

I found some gloves that are really dark brown leather. They were Thinsulate...but I removed the Thinsulate from them. Like all my gloves, the fingers are too long....I have incredibly fat fingers...and they are also incredibly short...so all of my gloves fit pretty bad.
