I saw a few threads floating around and thought it was about time I tackled this piece myself. There is A LOT more to this belt than even I thought and it is tough to get all the details right on the first crack. Here it goes:

  • Main Belt - 2" leather - I *thought* I had read somewhere in the past that the correct belt was 1.75" but I can't locate that source

  • Saber Hooks - 2 of them, 1 on either side of the buckle

  • D-Rings - again, 2 of them spaced on the right side of the belt (if you are wearing it), 1 on either side of the Saber Hook

  • Buckle - just a Tandy square buckle, nothing major

Pics of the start:

Now keep in mind I still have color to go, match the rivets color wise, and I have to do the pouches. Not to bad for a prototype start....

Dave

thanks, I still have some changes I want to make. The D-Ring straps have to be a bit longer and I have to get the curve right, but not bad for a start. The Pouches........now those are the challenge
