First thing you'll need to do is ALWAYS remember that it's Wookiee (with 2 e's at the end!!) Wink

First thing I would suggest is to take some time and read through the Chewbacca threads here. Lots of wonderful build threads from the people here who have gone before you. Research is your best friend right now. We are more than willing to HELP, but making a Wookiee costume is truly a labor of love. There is really no quick way.

Best of luck!!

I would first and foremost... read, read read! There are plenty of how to threads that will help if you just spend a few hours a night, for a week or so... you will know more about building wookiee costumes than you ever thought possible.

The best place to start is GotWookiee's Chewbacca Resource page

I would also take a look at the FAQ section to help answer some of the comon questions *** Chewbacca FAQ's***.

there are also now some topics you will want to read through in the Fring Tutorial section: http://www.rebellegion.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=254
I believe the last one in the listing is Duck's post about his build. There is also one about hair punching and such. I would read lots and lots before moving forward.
