I am working on an Oola costume right now. I find it more difficult than expected though Laughing I have a bit of a problem sewing the netting (so if anyone has any tips, please help me)
I bought Pam's lekkus. They look amazing.

I did a first make-up test. It is nowhere near perfect yet, I know Smile
And the headband isn't finished yet, it still needs the ornament and small thingies on it Wink

First make-up test Smile

That looks awesome, I can't wait to see the finished thing Very Happy

As for sewing netting, it's best to put a stabilizer under it, either water soluable or tear-away. Coffee filters are a cheap and easy stabilizer Smile

Looks great so far! And I second Vera's advice about using some sort of stablizer to help sew the netting.

Great first test. Very Happy Now for a little more yellow in that and you should be set. At least colorwise. Wink

Good luck with the rest of it.

The costume is nowhere near perfect, I know Wink And I had to walk through a bit of rain to the convention but I like it anyway. I think the colour needs more yellow though Smile My friend borrowed my Slave Leia costume and we had so much fun!

Maybe I will upgrade the costume to be fit for RL standards, because I think this one is not.

Your Slave Leia, your Slave Leia costume and your Oola are looking fantastic! You pull this costume off in a wonderful way. Cool

So far, I like the costume itself. I just think you should do the paintjob again, the real skin shines through. But that could be due to the mentioned raining. ^^

You look great! I'm impressed that the makeup survived the rain so well. Is it the alcohol based stuff that needs a special remover? Our local Darth Maul uses that on his face and it's amazing... hours later and no fading at all!

Your costume looks great. Leia AND Oola Shocked ...I would bet that you were a big hit Very Happy. I love Oola but I don't think I could do all the paint so kudos to you on that. Can't wait to see your costume as you tweak it.
