Hello all,

For some time I have been planning to visit the shooting locations and i was wondering if anybody here could help me confirm that this is the logical route to take to Lake Como?

Fly to 1 of the airports of Milan (Linate, Malpensa or Orio al Serio) and then board the Malpensa Express (does this train leave from all above mentioned airports or just from Malpensa?). Switch trains in Saronna to a direct train that takes you to Lake Como.
How long will it roughly take?

Thanks!

ciao.

hi, welcome in italy.

In this forums I wrote a discussion about the italian locations:
http://www.rebellegion.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=25177

malpensa express start only from malpensa airport, but this aiport is the nearest to como..

I think that the better way is to take the train from malpensa airport to milano centrale, and therefore milano to como.
or you can change train also in saronno station (malpensa-saronno and saronno-como).

in any case malpensa airport-como is 1 hour and half.

the website is www.trenitalia.it

Thanks, this helps a lot!

The train from Milan Central to Como is a direct train? And how close to Tremezzo (generally to be considered the starting point for a trip to the locations) is that then?

exist the directly train milano-como without stop, and exist the milano-como with some stops.
you can decide on the web site www.trenitalia.it

usually i take the apposite boat from como to lenno.
and therefore another boat from lenno to villa balbianello.
you can take only one boat ticket como-lenno-villa balbianello.
